Customizing the Help Menu

We have a large organization and we've done significant work on our custom framework. When our writers encounter a problem, we want then to come to our internal support group instead of wasting your time in support. There are two menu item on the Oxygen help menu, report a problem and Support Center...

Open document without xinclude expansion/resolution

Hi, We have very large documents with hundreds of xincludes. For the most part these documents have not real content other than the xinclude references and we edit them to add new references to new content or reorder existing references. However, opening these documents takes significant time and it...

Loading info to "Results" panel

Hi.

If I create an xml document, perhaps through a transformation scenario, and that xml document is valid against the report.dtd found in frameworks, is there a way to load that document into the "Results" panel so that users can view results and navigate to items in the report?

Re: Problem using xpath_eval in transform scenario output tab

Using a simplified test, it appears that the $pd variable isn't being expanded or is causing some error. Given the following code: ${xpath_eval(concat('${pd}', '\foo.xml'))} which doesn't resolve to an actual file, I get no error message. Changing only the internal variable, ${xpath_eval(concat('${p...

I should add that with ${pd}\ no document is opened and no error is presented. If I remove it I get a cannot open file error.

Problem using xpath_eval in transform scenario output tab

Hi, I've got an ant transform scenario that generates a report about the current project files. It runs fine, but I want to open the report when it's complete, so I put this in the Output tab Open field: ${xpath_eval(concat('${pd}\', replace('${pn}', '_project', ''), '_report.xml'))} If I remove the...

Is there a way to cause a custom action to execute after a new document is created from a template (file->New)? I would like to execute the docbook generate.ids action to execute so that a new document has all IDs populated.

Enhance display of space/newline in Author mode

If you are authoring a mixed content element and insert an inline element and it happens to be at the end of the line and thus wraps, it it hard to tell if there is a space, which in this context would be significant. <para><guidropdown>Alphabetically by block name</guidropdown>. Insert Table Title prompt

In the docbook framework Insert Table dialog, we would like control on the default status of the "Title" checkbox. In our instance, most tables are informal, so our writers have to constantly uncheck the box.

Insert Table Model should only offer available models

In a docbook file, there is an Insert Table dialog that provides a radio button for model selection, CALS or HTML. We have customized the DTD to only allow CALS but the model selector remains. You can select HTML and you are greeted with schema errors. Is there a way to configure the dialog to only ...

If you have internal markup in a table and you set tag display to full with attributes, tables become very difficult to work with. A helpful feature would be to have a second tag display selector that applies to table cell contents.

Add Insert Editor Variable to XInclude dialog

We have set up variables so that writers can select the variable to point to targetsets in the docbook olink dialog and it works very well. Could the xinclude dialog be enhanced so that the Insert Editor Variable is available to writers when they want to include an xinclude. We save our cross produc...

Re: Docbook Olink insert dialog UX improvements

Your suggestion sounds reasonable. The only possible improvement would be to allow a configuration in framework for expanded elements. For example I might want to specify expand chapter, section[not(parent::section)], refentry, refsect1 and all others would be collapsed. This would certainly be a &q...

Docbook Olink insert dialog UX improvements

We have large reference books that have refentry targets for hundreds of various ref pages. One more problem: if the file a.xml has an xinclude to b.xml where @val is, the xincludes don't seem to be expanded and the oxy_xpath seems to fail. Is there a flat on the doc function to expand xincludes? Also, where is the documentation for the doc function?

I would expect that if you are after word1 and before the space, if you type the space bar the cursor would advance to between the space and word3 which would allow you to start typing word2.
