Re: nav-toc=full generates unwanted markup, how to customize?

Hi,

using that transformation scenario is impractical because we use a custom DITA-OT plugin that's based on HTML5.

I'm just wondering whether or not this behavior is intentional or a bug in either Oxygen or DITA-OT? nav-toc=partial does not operate this way.

Coderefs from external sources not working anymore

Hello, after a DITA-OT update the fix.external.refs.com.oxygenxml parameter has stopped working. Previously we were able to fetch content from Github to code samples using this parameter, but now it fails with the following error, and the coderefs just output nothing: [DOTJ051E] Unable to load targe...

Re: nav-toc=full generates unwanted markup, how to customize?

nav-toc=partial does not produce these empty <ul> elements. However, we would like to display the entire navigation on the page.

nav-toc=full generates unwanted markup, how to customize?

Hi, I'm using the DITA-OT nav-toc=full parameter to include a navigation list to all topics of my map. Some topics in the map are chunked maps, and with these topics, the markup for the toc entry looks like this: <li> <a href="../topic.html#topic">TOPIC</a> <ul></ul> </li> Here's the sourc...

Ok, great.

I also just found that issue, and someone suggested that removing the org.lwdita plugin would also help, and it did.

Re: Error transforming a topic with video objects to XHTML/HTML5

Hi,

I'm using Oxygen 20.1 and DITA-OT 3.2, so not the bundled OT version. There are no other references to this video, it's just used in that one topic.

Yes, that same error was produced with a small testing material with just one topic, video and map.

Error transforming a topic with video objects to XHTML/HTML5

Hello, I have a DITA topic with a few m4v videos embedded as objects, like so: <object data="attachments/videos/video.m4v" outputclass="video"/> This was done by using the Oxygen Insert media feature. When I try to transform this topic into XHTML or HTML5, I get the following err...

Re: Conrefing a topicref to a chunked map not supported or done wrong?

Hi, this doesn't seem to work. I'm getting the following error: Transformation failed. /Applications/Oxygen XML Editor/frameworks/dita/dita-ot-3.2/plugins/org.dita.base/build_preprocess.xml:323: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: URI has a fragment component THe problem seems to be with the chunkin...

Conref to remote resource not resolving

Hi, I'm having trouble using external resources as conref targets in my DITA material. I want to embed some source code from Github to my documentation files, but Oxygen isn't letting me do that. Getting the following error when transforming the material to HTML: Description: [DOTJ051E] Unable to lo...

Conrefing a topicref to a chunked map not supported or done wrong?

Hi there, I'm trying to create a conref to a topicref that in turn points to a chunked map, and it's not working. Using DITA-OT 3.2 in Oxygen. Here's a sample of what I'm trying to do: Chunked map map.ditamap <map> <topicref href="parent-topic.dita#parent-topic" keyscope="Asdcorp"...

Re: Fatal encoding error in DITA->XHTML transformation

This issue was caused by incorrectly defined format attributes in xrefs that point to local DITA files (format="html" instead of "dita"). Case closed. My old Oxygen 17.1 was, for some reason, not able to display these errors, and stated that the problem is encoding-related. Updat...

Re: Fatal encoding error in DITA->XHTML transformation

I'm using Mac, so do you think this is because of the same problem? I went through all filenames, and didn't come across any non-ASCII characters in them.

Re: Fatal encoding error in DITA->XHTML transformation

I'm trying to use the "DITA Map XHTML" transformation scenario, and we are using a custom plugin, but before it was working with no encoding issues.

Re: Outputting text content before HTML node in DITA/XHTML transformation

Thanks for the reply. We are experimenting with publishing DITA through Jekyll, which uses YAML variables that are placed before any other content in the HTML file. We would like to fetch metadata from DITA during the transformation to HTML and enter it into the YAML front matter. I changed the tran...

Outputting text content before HTML node in DITA/XHTML transformation

Hi there, I'm trying to output content before the root HTML node in a DITA -> XHTML transformation. I located the XSLT section from dita2htmlImpl.xsl, where the <html> element is generated, but entering any text content before it produces the following error: System ID: /Applications/oxygen/framewor...

Re: Problems with specialization DTD

Thanks a lot, I emailed you the plugin. I would really appreciate it if you could find the time to look at it. I don't think this is a very complicated issue – I'm just not very proficient with plugin development yet :)

Might post this on the DITA Yahoo Group as well.

Embedding an HTML file in DITA directly from Github

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to embed HTML files into DITA XML directly from Github, so that the content of the HTML files would be shown in the XHTML deliverable of the DITA file - preferably inside a <codeblock> element. We would like to demonstrate our front-end files in our documentation...
