How to show conditional text colors in PDF

Using the built-in DITA PDF transform, the colors assigned to content tagged as conditional do not appear in the resulting PDF. This makes it less useful when wanting to send a draft out to review by others who do not have the editing tool. Is this expected, or should it work and am I maybe missing ...

Editor stops me typing - "read only context"?

Version 17.1, Linux I'm just editing a perfectly normal DITA file in Author mode - writable, editable etc, and I found if I try to type something at a specific point in the text, a popup appears and says "cannot insert text inside a read-only context". Heres the source code: I am just alig...

Re: How to un-join table cells?

Although - some feedback here regarding usability - this is still laborious when you have many cells to join. If there were just a "join" button which joined all the currently selected cells, that would be better. I have an earlier post also regarding select / copy / paste of cell ranges, ...

How to un-join table cells?

Once you have joined some cells, either row or column, there seems to be no straightforward way of un-joining them again, short of editing the XML.

Am I missing something in some menu, or does that function not exist?

Thanks - I seem to have got it working, by duplicating one that existed already and modifying it.

Ctrl-Shift-Space is now the non-breaking space.

Renaming columns breaks joined cells

If you have a table where you have joined some row cells, the XML syntax uses the column names to indicate which cells are straddled. Now if you rename a column in the colspecs, the straddle breaks, because the tool does not also rename all the references to that column name. See below where "n...

Profiling does not highlight when a table row is made condit

When using profiling and a complete table row has been tagged with otherprops="tagname", the color highlighting only affects the text. It would be better if the whole row was highlighted, so it is clear what is happening. Currently, there is no visible difference between making a table row...

Profiling styles no longer showing in Editor

XML Editor 16.1, build 2014102117 I have set up some custom profiling styles for use with DITA / otherprops, and had specified some colors to display the text with. It used to work - I'm sure! Recently I've been re-opening some of the files I originally used it in, and they no longer visibly show an...

Re: Smart Paste not converting CRs to new <p>s?

Sorry - 16.1 it is. But yes - that would be a better default (I think) to create new <p>s. Hope you decide to implement! I should maybe mention I am running on Oxygen on Linux over VNC? This might affect the paste function? I just checked, and on Word it works OK pasting to Oxygen on Windows. As a t...

Re: Smart Paste not converting CRs to new <p>s?

An example to reproduce would be any .txt file from Notepad with at least one newline. I.e the source has no actual markup, apart from the CR/LF. If I paste this into Word or Frame, I get two paragraphs as expected. It also works as expected pasting from Word/Frame/Browser -> emacs/Frame/Word whatev...

"Enter" does not work when browsing dialogs without mouse

When in a dialog such as File->Save, I'm used to being able to navigate around the hierarchy using the mouse, where Enter will have some effect such as entering the currently highlighted directory. But it seems to have no effect. Also, if I've typed a new name for a file to save, I still find that E...

Abbreviation such as "e.g." gives spelling error

Using the Hunspell spelling checker in OxygenXML, it gives an error on any usage of e.g., for example this will e.g. give a spelling error It reports the error on the sequence "e.g" and even suggests correcting it to "e.g." (so it must know it's legal) - but if you do that, you g...

Bug: Triple-click and overtype in <title> fails on <fig> and

OxygenXML 16.1. If you triple click text in say a <p> or a <li> in the Editor, and then overtype, the element stays as a <p> or <li> and the text gets replaced, as you'd expect. But: If you do this on a <title> for a figure, the <title> gets replaced by a <p>. If you do this for a <title> for a tabl...

Re: How to copy-paste groups of cells, not whole column

Yes, exactly right.

There are other more complex use cases one could think of: For example copying a single cell, then selecting a destination range of cells and pasting, and getting the original duplicated in all the target cells. Can save a lot of typing...

How to copy-paste groups of cells, not whole column

In the Editor (16.1), if I try to select a group of cells (e.g. a selection of cells from a column), then copy and paste them in a different column (or another table), they always get pasted in as a row, and lose their vertical alignment. I've looked at http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-editor/index.h...

Re: Command line to execute a PDF transform?

Is that a feature that can be added? It seems a bit excessive to have to build a complete parallel system in order to achieve the same as a single button click. And given the modularity of XML, it looks like an obvious way to work. My previous documentation tool provided this (without any extra lice...

Command line to execute a PDF transform?

Is there any way to call OxygenXML from the command line and get it to execute a PDF transformation on a file automatically?

I would like to do some batch processing, and it seems laborious to have to open the GUI and press a button each time.
