cannot validate schematron in 26
On Oxygen XML Editor 26 ("You are currently running the latest version") on Linux, if I try to validate a schematron document using the red checkmark, I get the following error: System ID: jar:file:/home/graydon/Oxygen XML Editor 26/lib/oxygen.jar!/builtin/oXygenSchematronDispatcher.xsl Ma...

Re: Integrate BaseX into oXygen XML Editor
Hi Alex --
Thank you! Appreciate the clarity on the weighting process.
It wouldn't be possible for me to advocate for an unsigned anything in a work context, is what I was trying to get at there. (Nor do I think it ought to be.)
Thank you!

Re: Integrate BaseX into oXygen XML Editor
Hi Alex -- While that plugin does look interesting, I observe that the gitHub repository hasn't been updated in five years and that the plugin is unsigned. Putting myself in a position where I have to explain why I installed something unsigned on a work machine isn't something I would want to do. Mi...

Integrate BaseX into oXygen XML Editor
I would like to be able to use oXygen XML Editor to write, run, and debug XQuery against the BaseX XML database from https://basex.org/ I would like this to include the full scope of BaseX modules (full text, higher order functions, etc.) as well as XQuery 3.1 (and eventually XQuery 4). I would like...

Re: Validation with XQuery instead of schematron
Thank you, Adrian! This is laudably thorough. IMHO, it would be preferable to stick with Schematron or similar means of validation. Have you considered XPath 3.0 or XSLT 3.0 within Schematron? Schematron provides a subset of XPath expressions; capable as XPath 3.1 is, FLOWR expressions and the conce...

Validation with XQuery instead of schematron
XQuery is much more capable than Schematron, and when writing style checking rules I'd much rather use XQuery. It's straightforward to create an XQuery transformation scenario, but the scenario does not run automatically in the way validation does as part of a document type association. How do I get...

Re: Add a document type for a custom RNG schema with a custom URN
Hi Radu -- Between my initial report and now, I've upgraded from oXygen XML Editor for Linux 21 to oXygen XML Editor for Linux 21.1, and I can no longer replicate the issue. I've bundled up the git repository for the extension framework in question and sent it to the email address provided. Thank yo...

Re: Add a document type for a custom RNG schema with a custom URN
Hi Radu -- I still cannot reproduce the problems you encountered when having that @class attribute not ending in a space, for example if I open a DITA topic looking like this: Some more context. The RNG schemas being used are NOT the OASIS DITA schemas, but a constrained subset written from scratch....

Re: Add a document type for a custom RNG schema with a custom URN
Hi Radu -- In the Oxygen Preferences->"XML / XML Parser / RELAX NG" page there is a checkbox called "Add default attributes values". This was checked. It turns out that if the DITA class attribute value does not end with a space, the "add default attributes" mechanism f...

Re: Add a document type for a custom RNG schema with a custom URN
When creating a new document, RNG maps and the DTD topics show in the "Choose file template" dialog with only the actual document templates showing. The DTD maps and the RNG topics show the document templates (which work) AND the properties files. This makes me wonder if I've set the cate...

Re: Add a document type for a custom RNG schema with a custom URN
Two follow on questions. Firstly, RNG doesn't have a concept of "fixed" attributes; it can use the annotation namespace to provide a default value. This makes me wonder if that's the reason a DITA document associated with a specialized DTD with fixed class attributes DOES NOT require the c...

Re: Add a document type for a custom RNG schema with a custom URN
Thanks, Radu!
Association rules using xml-model would be extremely useful.
(No luck with setting the priority on the custom extension framework to "high"; no document type, and no CSS association.)

Add a document type for a custom RNG schema with a custom URN
Hi -- The overall goal here is to get Author to recognize the document type so we can add some custom CSS extensions. In oXygen 21, I've created a custom extension framework; there's a directory with custom DITA schemas (which are complete document types) and a catalog file, and a sibling directory ...

Re: XPath 3.0, simple mapping operator, and syntax highlight
I have logged this to our issue tracking tool. This will be analyzed and resolved in a future version of Oxygen. Thank you! It would be good if the format-and-indent was aware of line breaks in long XPath expressions in attributes, too; a coding team has to be very careful about all having the exac...

XPath 3.0, simple mapping operator, and syntax highlighting
If I connect (for example) a group of replace functions via the simple mapping operator, the syntax highlighting goes strange. <xsl:function as="xs:string" name="d:charReplace"> <xsl:param name="inString" as="xs:string" /> <xsl:sequence select="replace($i...
