Re: Trying to hide cell borders in simpletable fails

Thanks, Radu. I do hope you get the chance to fix this. The simpletable is very useful for this kind of non-hazardstatement notes.

Trying to hide cell borders in simpletable fails

I am using a one-row, two-cell simpletable to create a note with an icon on the side. Obviously, the hazardstatement would be overkill and introduces a lot of extra incorrect semantics (the note is not at all a hazard). To have the content showing up without the ugly table borders, I tried setting @...

Cannot get a TOC tree with more than 1 level

Although I have made extensive use of oXygen for over a decade, I have never had to create WebHelp output. I am now working on a large project where the customer requires this output for a huge documentation set. I have tried to generate output that looks like the oXygen online WebHelp but the TOC o...

Re: Running transformation on large set of files

Thanks, Adrian. The bulk of the work is done, so I am OK for now. If I need more switching back and forth I will use your approach of multiple projects looking at the same set of files.

Kind regards from Amsterdam

Re: Disabling Schematron

Hello Radu, Thanks for the info. I will check on my options to change the schematron rules or switch that validation off completely. The rule that is bothering me is "In cases where a topic contains only one paragraph, then it is preferable to include this text in the shortdesc element and leav...

Re: Running transformation on large set of files

Hello Adrian, Thanks for the info. It works, but I would have liked a better mechanism for this. The Find/Replace in files command allows setting the filter per action, which is very useful when handling large folders with various types of files. For the transform, it would be very useful to have a ...

Running transformation on large set of files

I need to run (and often re-run) a transformation on a large number of XML files, so I am doing this from the Project view. As the files are located in several subdirectories inside the main folder, I would like to use something like the Find/Replace dialog where I can tell oXygen which types of fil...

Disabling Schematron

Short question: How do I disable Schematron ? I am working on a huge conversion project and there can be lots of things wrong with the DITA files that are produced. Unfortunately, the Problems window is filled with an enormous amount of warnings from Schematron, which are not at all relevant at this...

Re: Suppressing auto-generated metadata

Never mind, I found the options in the preferences. I was looking for the wrong keyword :-) It is listed as DITA prolog updater and I was looking for metadata and critdates, i.e. the results of the updating process.

Suppressing auto-generated metadata

Hello fellow <oXygen/> users I am preparing DITA materials for a demo. <oXygen/> automatically puts revision metadata into each topic, which is unwanted for my demo. I cannot find a way to switch off this behaviour. I know there are all kinds of extensions that can be programmed into the editor, but...

Setting up an XML catalog in my project

I have a lot of files to convert to DITA, and all of them are referring to the same DTD using a public as well as system ID, like this: <!DOCTYPE ifu PUBLIC "-//DOSCO BRAHMS//DTD IFU R5//EN" "ifu.dtd" [ I am trying to get oXygen to find the right DTD via the Public ID but I fail ...

Re: Validating XD files

Hi Adrian, Thanks for the hint about the filename extension being mapped to a different editor. The validation no longer throws errors now. I am not concerned with the coloring of the xd:* elements. But there is one thing that does not seem to work yet: I am not yet getting the Elements catalog or t...

Validating XD files

I am working on a large XML schema that is using the xd namespace - bound to http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema. Why the xs namespace is not used is unknown to me but there is no way I can change that. I am trying to make oXygen validate the file as if it were an xsd file but I fail to set the Doc typ...

Re: Newbie question on creating ANT scripts

I figured it out (passing the parameter). Creating a build that processes al files matching a pattern is still an open question, but not pressing at this time, and I am sure that will be fairly easy, too.

Thanks

Newbie question on creating ANT scripts

Hello all, I have created my first simple ANT script, which works well but uses absolute references to the file to be transformed. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <project basedir="." name="rng2dtd"> <target name="dtd"> <xslt style="xsl/s...

Adding an RNG domain

I have created a new domain as RNG file and included it in my concept.rng shell, but I cannot seem to make oXygen use the RNG file for validation and element selection. I cannot use the new elements in a newly created concept. Do I have to convert the RNG to DTD before I can start using the new doma...

Re: Custom PDF plugin does not do what is expected

Update on this issue, after having a troubleshooting session with Eliot: the issue is not with Oxygen but with either the OT documentation (forgetting a crucial detail perhaps?) or the DITA OT code (forgetting to call a particular extension point). I will sort this out later. I found another custom ...

Custom PDF plugin does not do what is expected

Hello all, I am creating a customised PDF plug-in for the DITA-OT 2.x inside <oXygen/> and although everything seems to be setup in the right way, the customisation to the PDF is not happening. To get this project started, I have followed the instructions on the DITA-OT 2.5 Documentation about creat...

doc type association for root tag

I know it should be possible to have <oXygen/> look at the root tag of an XML document to determine which DTD to use for validation but it does not work (yet). Is there a detailed description of what to include and what to remove from the association rules to make this work? I am developing an app i...

Hello, I am preparing a presentation for tcworld in Wiesbaden (about 3 weeks from now) and would like to customize the XHTML output that is generated from a single DITA file (I am using the Machinery Task topic type). I need to add some javascript, link some icon images and use XSL to transform exis...
