Hmmm, I understood you to say that the problem was unique to SUSE's implementation of KDE3.5 and Java 1.5... as in the problem wasn't reproduceable on Fedora... and I haven't been able to reproduce it on Ubuntu yet. :-) So.. is it a bug in the official SUN Java, or in the combination of SUSE's KDE3....

Thanks for the help on this one. Dropping back to Java 1.4 will work - shame though since the oXygen interface looks so much nicer in Java 1.5.

I'll put this into Novell's Bugzilla and hope for a fix... soon :-)

I can reproduce the behaviour consistently by: 1. Open a child window (Find/Replace for example) 2. Right-click the title bar and select Shade 3. Click the X to close the window. The window is not closed. 4 Right-click the title bar and un-select Shade. At this point, the window is restored, but the...

The problem is back again :-( This is with oxygen 6.2 and I'm using the regular release of KDE (3.5.0 Level "a") on SUSE 10.0. No other apps - Java or otherwise - exhibit this behaviour. The window opens, and then collapses to only the title bar. Once this happens, I cannot close the child...

Hmmmm... well I can't really roll back to an older version of KDE to test - I have some dependancies on the new KDE3.5 (for other apps I'm using). Other people in the office are only using the Eclipse plugin (either on Gnome or KDE) and don't have the same problem I'm having - so it's not easy to te...

Problems with the "Find/Replace in Files" dialog

I'm having a repeatable problem with the Find/Replace in Files dialog. If I open the Find dialog using the menu - click on Find > Find/Replace in Files and start typing it works as expected - the text I type is shown in the Text to find box and I can select checkboxes, and od a search as normal. But...

Just a quick update. I haven't been able to duplicate this behaviour since I updated a few KDE libs. It seesmto have been tied to whatever particular build of KDE I was using.

So.. for now.. problem gone :-)

Should be fairly easy... install the Tab extension, and set the option to open External links in current tab. Then every time you do a transform, it should open in the same tab/browser without launching a new browser. The down side is that this applies to all external links. Works in Linux, should w...

Hmmm... well, I don't have an older KDE version to try it out on (on my particular install). It did start happening after the upgrade to KDE 3.5. Some odd behaviour on Linux

I've been getting some odd behaviour with Oxygen 6.2 on Linux... nothing real serious - as in I can get around it, but it's still kind of strange. Using: - SUSE 10.0 (kernel 2.6.13-15) - KDE 3.5 (actually 3.4.92-beta2 level 'a') - Java 1.5.0_03-b07 (SUN) Basically, when I open... say for example the...

That works if you realise you did a drag/drop. But if you're like me, you're in a hurry (as usual) you do some work.. opening files.. skipping around in the project... adding files and directories to the project, taking some out... then at the end of the day you do a commit back to the database. Problem with auto-tags

I'm wondering.. have I got some setting wrong or.... ? If I'm working in an XML doc, and entering tags, oXygen seems to be inconsistant with filling in the end tag. Sometimes when I type in the complete opening tag ( <tag> ) oXygen will follow it with the closing tag ( </tag> ) and place the cursor ...

Setting default browser?

I'm running into a minor annoyance where I can't set the default browser for oXygen. (using oXygen 6.0 build 2005051612 on Linux and KDE 3.4.1) I have been just letting oXygen pick a browser and it has been defaulting to Konqueror. That was good enough for me so I never bothered changing anything. I...

Pretty print question

I'm having a minor issue with pretty print. I have a tag called <instructions> that I use to enclose text that I want/need to map to <literallayout> in my transforms. I've tagged this in the oXygen options to be ignored by pretty print (preseve space elements). When I click the pretty print button, ...

I was just thinking the same thing... with many files open, it seems like the tabs jump around (as I edit and they get a asterisk added to the name, or open yet another file). I often loose track of the last file I was working on, or files of a "set" I am working on are scattered in 3 or 4...

Problem with keyboard shortcuts for the XML refactoring

Using oXygen 6.0 build 2005051612 on Linux (SuSE9.3 using KDE3.4). I need to delete a bunch of tags, and am using the handy Refactoring feature to do this. If I right click on a tag, and navigate through the menus to Delete element tags, it works fine. But... the keyboard shortcut for this same task...

Just a quick comment... when you start typing in a tag and you get the tag pop-up, just press Esc and the pop-up goes away. You can keep typing in the rest of the tag you're trying to manually enter (works for me on Linux with Oxygen6).
