Re: DITA to text - which XSL transform ?

I know this is an older thread, I just wanted to mention [Elovirt's markdown plugin](https://github.com/jelovirt/dita-ot-markdown). It can do DITA-to-markdown, which sounds like roughly what the OP was asking for.

Re: Error when using chunking with the webhelp transformation

This looks to be an OT issue in general (Also happened when using the dita4publishsers html5 transformation with OT 1.8.5).

Rather than trying to figure this, I decided to take the time to refactor my content to get rid of nested topics in the first place.

Re: Error when using chunking with the webhelp transformation

Spoke too soon! The search index is pulling topics that are part of a different pub that are filtered out by by @product! References to js and css in the chucked topics are to ../../oxygen-webhelp/, not oxygen-webhelp/ (I can fix that manually at deploy time, but still...) In my experience, the webh...

Error when using chunking with the webhelp transformation

I'm getting an error message when using the webhelp transformation on some composite dita files that were created using the docbook2dita stylesheets. In the original DocBook publication, all of the sections were in <chapter> elements, with all sections in a single file. When this was converted autom...

Re: Allow profiling attributes to pass through to HTML.

Thanks Sorin. I figured that was the case. Looking at that issue though, this actually was implemented (to an extent...) in the DITA-OT2.0. I just tried this out, and the html5 transformation will indeed pass the attribute through (to data-audience="[val]"). I think the current webhelp is ...

Re: Allow profiling attributes to pass through to HTML.

I know this question is a year old, but I do have a question about this. According to the DITA 1.2 standard , a user should be able to use the action="passthrough" attribute in a ditaval file to filter the content in *and* keep the attribute value. For example: <val> <prop action="pas...

Re: Applying a transformation scenario to several files at o

Wow--That's great and exactly what I needed! In fact, the logical folder is even better than what I was trying to do since you can pick and choose which ones you want.

It's amazing how often I think something will be complicated, and it turns out Oxygen can do it in 30 seconds.

Applying a transformation scenario to several files at once

I have a DITA-OT transformation scenario that using the ${cf} for its input. This is perfectly fine 95% of the time Sometimes a significant change is made to the OT plugin that necessitates rebuilding all of the ditamaps in a specific directory. Instead of opening each map individually and building ...

Re: Using a newer version of the DITA-OT than the one suppli

I did not. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to mess with those. I went ahead and added all of the libraries in [DITA-OT2.0]/lib/, and move them to be first in the list. This gave me a different error message: BUILD FAILED C:\Program Files\DITA-OT2.0\build.xml:40: The following error occurred whil...

Using a newer version of the DITA-OT than the one supplied b

I'm having issues trying to use a newer DITA-OT with Oxygen 15.2 (attempting to use version 2.0 instead of 1.7). I followed these instructions from the Oxygen user manual. When trying to use the pdf2 transformation, I get the following error: BUILD FAILED C:\Program Files\DITA-OT2.0\build.xml:40: Th...

Thank you Sorin for pointing me in the right direction. I'm using Oxygen 15.2 with the included DITA-OT 1.7, and the file that I needed to edit was different than the one you specified (which I assume is applicable to a later version). The file I edited is listed below, in case anyone else needs thi...

While this is an older topic, I just wanted to add a better solution to this in case anyone finds it while searching for the same problem. You can use the chuck attribute on your map to generate a single HTML file for your content: <map id="foo" chunk="to-content"> <topicref href...

What would be the "best practice" for making customizations to that file without directly modifying it in the frameworks directory? I recently made minor changes to it (adding <label> tags to the search and index forms and title attributes to the frames) but I felt like bad practice to tou...

Search for elements that don't have a specific child?

I have a long docbook document, and for accessibility purposes we're required to have alt text for every single image. This is something that can be easy to miss, and there are probably several throughout the books (literally) hundred of images that does not have an alt tag. What I'm try to find are...

Problem with alt tags in author view

I have a lengthy manual with a lot of inlinemediaobject's. I'd like to add alt tags for this. I've noticed an annoying thing in Oxygen however. When I add an alt tag to an inlinemediaobject element, the alt text causes a linebreak in author mode and the tag appears on its own line. Since these appea...

Thanks for your help. I've seen that before. I have followed the simple procedure for that (adding auto-detect to the fop-config.xml, though it was already there by default...). Since my fonts are in C:\Windows\Fonts, that *should* be working. I'll have to see if I can get our sysaids to do the more advanced procedure fo...
