Re: Oxygen 14.0 Failed to compile stylesheet

There are no other errors listed.

There are the warnings about duplicate imports/includes, but no other errors.

Thanks, Mike

Oxygen 14.0 problem while writing a temporary tree

Another question about transitioning from Oxygen 11.2 using Saxon-EE 9.2.0.6 to Oxygen 14.0 with Saxon-EE 9.4.0.3. A transformation that used to work with 11.2, now gives this error with 14.0: XSL file: C:\Users\<omitted>\transformations\test_doc_vital.xsl Engine name: Saxon-EE 9.4.0.3 Severity: fat...

Oxygen 14.0 Failed to compile stylesheet

We've been using Oxygen 11.2 for quite some time, using Saxon-EE 9.2.0.6 for schema aware processing. Our set of schema and transformation files have been working just great. But we're having a problem when using Oxygen 14.0 with Saxon-EE 9.4.0.3. A transformation that used to work with 11.2, now gi...

Re: Can script be used to process several files?

Adrian, Where in the script do I define the equivalent of ${cfdu} and ${cfn}? How do I define them? If they need to be defined in the Xproc transformation scenario, how do I do that? I suppose I really need a tutorial on Xproc programs and transformations. Any suggestions? Thanks again, Mike <?xml v...

Re: Can script be used to process several files?

Thanks, Adrian, for the start. I've started by modifying the sample "transform.xpl" file supplied with Oxygen. I now call it "transform-to-html.xpl". The transformation that I want to use with the XProc definition uses ${cfdu} and ${cfn} as its two parameters. I did some searchin...

Can script be used to process several files?

I have several files for which I do the same processing with Oxygen periodically. I do: 1. Schema validation (schema aware) with Oxygen/Saxon 2. Validation with Schematron (some schemas currently have Schematron checks in them) 3. Transformation. All of these files use the same top-level schema, sam...

WordML: Set heading number explicitly

I'm looking for some help with WordML. Suggestions for a different forum are welcome if this isn't the place to ask. I am not using FOP, just generating WordML directly from some XSLT 2.0 transformations on our source XML files. Microsoft Word allows automatically numbered headings, such as, 1.1, 1....

Re: "Non-specialist" readable versions of schema files

I have a follow-up question:

I used the "Export Settings" button to save the settings I used for the schema documentation output.

How do I import those settings?

Thanks, Mike

Re: "Non-specialist" readable versions of schema files

Super.

I've been able to generate HTML and PDF outputs.

I'm going to try various settings on the output generation to possibly provide easier to read (less verbose) results.

Thanks, Mike

"Non-specialist" readable versions of schema files

Our project has a moderate number of schema files, including type definitions and the main elements used by our developers. Is it (fairly easily) possible to generate some human readable document that summarizes the main XML elements used by our developers? They don't need to see all of the schema d...

Re: Upgrading to 11.0 from 10.3

To summarize, I was using transformations with Oxygen 10.3 and Saxon-SA 9.1.0.7. Now I'm trying Oxygen 11.0 with Saxon-EE 9.2.0.2, using the same transformation files as before. A set of transformations that worked fine with Oxygen 10.3 now yields an error with Oxygen 11 and the new Saxon processor....

Re: Using Oxygen option settings during a transformation

I know Oxygen is at version 12.x, but we have not upgraded because of the following: When we tried upgrading from 10.3 to 11.0, we encountered several problems during XML transformations with Saxon because of type constraint checking. We are using the Schema Aware feature of Saxon. Saxon must have a...

Re: Finding tree of "import" files

Sorry about the delayed reply. This information is just what I was looking for.

Is it possible to print the hierarchy or dependency list, or otherwise capture it in a file? This would help as I go through our directory structure looking for obsolete files.

Thanks again,
Mike

Finding tree of "import" files

I'd like to be able to find all the files either imported or included in a transformation. That is, I like Oxygen to report (or to run some transformation) to essentially find the expanded tree of files that were imported or included via the <xsl:include href.../> or <xsl:import href.../> elements. ...

Nested comments in XML

Some languages allow nested comments. Some languages do not, notably XML. But, Oxygen 10.3 allows easy nesting of comments via the trick of changing the inner comment symbols so that the whole comment is legal. Then, it's changed back when the section is uncommented. Using Ctl+Shift+comma to toggle ...

I've also had trouble searching for *.x* files in Windows XP. I can't say whether I had trouble before or after installing Oxygen, but other users have reported problems who may not necessarily be Oxygen users. I downloaded and ran "searchallfiles.reg", available here: http://www.kellys-ko...

Re: Saxon SA examples and help wanted for value checking

What features of the internal Saxon SA are useful at the moment in Oxygen 10?

If I want to use Saxon SA schema assertions, will I have to wait for Oxygen 10.1 or 10.2?

I suppose Schematron would work, but I'd rather not have to convert later to Saxon.

Thanks, Mike

Re: Saxon SA examples and help wanted for value checking

I looked through the tutorials, and have some experience with schema definitions.

But I must have missed using schemas to check constraints.

I have used uniqueness and key constraints in schemas, but am wanting to do some arithmetic assertions as well.

Thanks for the references.
