Re: Topic Headings in DITA map file don't appear in the XHTML output

Thanks for doing that. To be more specific, of the two pages that are output (I set the map file to chunk content, so I get 2 pages from an XHTML output - an Index and another page with all of the content), I CAN see the topichead ONLY on the index.html page, but NOT on the other page that the index...

Re: Topic Headings in DITA map file don't appear in the XHTML output

I posted a copy of the map file below. Thanks. When output as XHTML, the topichead does not display at all. The topics demoted beneath the topichead appear in the XHTML as heading 1, rather than the heading 2 they should be, were the topichead showing up as the heading 1. Example of topichead in the...

How to add new elements in my DITA project

How do I add new elements in my DITA project. The closest thing I found to describing how to do this was the "DITA Specialization Support" section of the user manual. The process seems complicated.

What else do I need to do besides declaring the new element in the DTD?

Thanks

Topic Headings in DITA map file don't appear in the XHTML output

The Topic Headings that I insert into my DITA map file, do not come across as heading 1 (or at all) in the XHTML output. They DO come across as heading 1 in the PDF. Is there some way to have each Topic Headings come across to the output XHTML as heading 1? And also, is there some way to have the su...

Re: Lacking Read/Write access to use a Plug In?

I was able to get this to work by recreating the plug in and making a minor change below. In doing so I found the answers to two of my questions: Q1. How do I enter a new Transaction Type? A1. The Plug In Generator prompts you to enter a transaction type, and you must remember this name to enter lat...

Re: Lacking Read/Write access to use a Plug In?

To update: I was able to gain access/permissions by starting Oxygen by right-clicking in it and selecting "Run as Administrator". The issue I have now is that when I run the plug in the build fails becuase one of the settings in the plug in for chapter numbering ("PDF_Num") is no...

Lacking Read/Write access to use a Plug In?

I installed a plug in and it won't run correctly. Instead it gives me many "Access is denied" error messages, such as: "[integrate] C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML Editor 14\frameworks\dita\DITA-OT\xsl\dita2dynamicdita.xsl (Access is denied)" Do I need read/write access to a director...

Thanks for the suggestions. Where do I place those tags? I tried adding them in my DITA map file, but that doesn't work.

Re: How do I change the formatting of elements in the output

I have created a CSS stylesheet with the desired formatting, but even if I add a link in the DITA map file (or in the individual topic files) to the CSS file, the output processing ignores my custom CSS file and instead uses the default stylesheet. As a result, my custom stylesheet is not applied an...

How do I change the formatting of elements in the output

How do I change the formatting of elements in the output? For example, I want to change to size and font color of all the headings. I'd also like this change to apply to all of the topics contained in a DITA map, rather than to only one topic at a time. Do I add a CSS file? If so, where do I add/ref...

Table border lines do not appear on the inside of tables in the PDF output

The table borders do not appear inside of the tables when they are output to PDF. The external table border DOES appear, but the internal border lines do not. In other words, the table has a box border around it, but no lines inside it. Is there some way I can add the border lines inside the table s...

Creating a new DITA-Compliant DTD based on an existing non-DITA-Compliant DTD I want to create a DTD for DITA authoring based on an existing DTD. The existing DTD is not DITA-complaint, so far as I know. What is the best way to accomplish these two tasks: 1) Creating a new DTD for DITA authoring bas...

Want to output one long XHTML file, rather than multiple files (one per topic file)

I am creating an XHTML output from several DITA topic files. By default, the output is an equal number of XHMTL files to DITA topic files. (So, 12 DITA topics = 12 XHTML pages, plus the XHTML Index page) Can I have the output create one long XHTML file, instead of many small ones? If so, how do I se...

Re: Index hyperlink locations in XHTML Output are no longer correct

I solved the issue by moving all of the working files to the same folder where the output directory is located. For example, the files to be transformed are located in the DITA folder, and the output is located in the DITA/Out/Xhtml folder. Previously, the map file and the other files had been in tw...

Re: Index hyperlink locations in XHTML Output are no longer correct

Hi Radu, Things worked normally until I moved the locations of the files being transformed to a different folder. Now, after the transformation is over, the output folder contains only the "index.html" file (no other HTML files). Also, the index.html file does not have relative references ...

Index hyperlink locations in XHTML Output are no longer correct

While transforming DITA files to XHTML, the Index file that is output no longer creates the correct hyperlink location of the other topics. Instead the Index file is inserting the wrong file location in its hyperlinks. Now, the other topics won't launch when I click on their Index hyperlinks. Instea...
