Re: What’s the right link for the job?!?
The xref element is used for links in the same document . You want to link to other module , included in the same document with XInclude, but that does not make the module external to the document. It is still the same Docbook document. You are writing the markup as if you are editing one Docbook d...

Re: What’s the right link for the job?!?
Hi Zearin, Hi Sorin! :) I think xref would be the correct linking element for you. If that’s what will work, I’ll use it. However, isn’t this somewhat in contradiction of its semantic purpose? (I don’t mean to be difficult. It’s just important to me to know when I am using something for its intende...

What’s the right link for the job?!?
Okay. So, I have a DocBook project. It’s a single book . XInclude is used. The DocBook source is contained in a shallow directory hierarchy (2 levels deep at maximum). The target output is a small XHTML5 (chunked) website. The content consists of a bunch of design patterns. They are organized into c...

xd:doc element cannot be first child in XSL?
It’s weird that the xd:doc element (which oXygen is nice enough to generate for you! ) isn’t allowed to be the first child of an xsl:stylesheet. I kind of expect that documentation intended to describe the entire stylesheet to be the first thing I see when I open it up.
Any way around this?

Allow oXygen’s ${variables} inside <?xml-PIs ?>
It would be great if I could use variables defined in Preferences ► Custom editor variables inside of processing instructions.
This would significantly make life easier when specifying locations for <?xml-model ?> and <?xml-stylesheet ?> processing instructions.

Re: OUTLINE VIEW IN Relax-NG COMPACT!
Am I really the only one who loves RNC this much? Does anybody else want this feature? Not at all! In my experience the majority of modern XML schema work is done with Schematron and RelaxNG in its compact form for obvious reasons. We use it in our environment and oXygen's regular habit of treating...

OS X: support the `open` command
The open command On OS X, Apple provides a super-handy open command. It’s a versatile command with many, many uses. Check out the manpage for several examples. One of my favorite uses is this: open -a appName This opens the application appName no matter where it is. This is super useful if you don’...

Geez…before I go any further, I apologize for the capitals in the thread’s title. I must have been in a weird mood, and I regret writing something so distasteful. Sorry about that. We already have this feature request logged on our issue tracking tool. Actually you are the one who originally ...

OUTLINE VIEW IN Relax-NG COMPACT!
I…AM…DYING…FOR THIS! :D Seriously, even if Oxygen had to map RNC-to-RNG asynchronously in the background that resulted in an Outline view that was a little slower to update than typical, this would be a godsend. Relax-NG Compact is so ridiculously effective at being easy on the eyes while fulfilling...

XQuery: how to determine scope?
(Wow, am I really the first poster in the XQuery forum?) So, conceptually I understand XQuery. And I like its philosophy. (XSL was my first love, though. XQuery just has a different “feel”, which has a very different mindset when programming. I want to explore that…and if I’m really lucky, st...

.java in my home directory
I'm running Oxygen 12.2 on OS X 10.6. Questions I noticed that there is a .java in my home directory with just one file inside: .com.oxygenxml.rk . I was wondering… what is the purpose of this file? is it from an older version of Oxygen? (I've been using it since around…version 10, I believe, but I'...

I see that this topic is years old, but I just started having the same problem. :) The files for the datatypes can be downloaded (or browsed) here: https://bitbucket.org/validator/syntax/src/default/non-schema/ You can get a copy of the entire thing by using the command described near the top of the...

Calabash error messages aren't clickable
When an error occurs in XSL, I can click the error message to jump right to the code where the error occurred. This feature is sorely missed in Calabash! It may have a weird naming scheme for steps (the “Step 1!5!3!” syntax), but it does name the step where the problem occurred. The weird syntax is ...

There's a link to the Oxygen website, but what would be me useful to me would be a link to the forums. Just wanted to re-request something I asked for ages ago. ( Please notice!: It’s not my intention to spam this request. I just don’t want it to get forgotten when buried over time.) Customizing *.xpr files (Oxygen Project files)
I was wondering if it’s possible to manually edit the *.xpr project files… …without seriously screwing anything up (I am okay dealing with minor glitches and reversible errors) …to help me “automate” some common things I do in every project (a folder skeleton and some symlinks). If it’s safe to do t...

Oxygen frameworks directory structure…?
I’ve been trying to develop more customized defaults for Oxygen, and I decided to mirror Oxygen’s frameworks directory structure in a separate location (and then customize-as-I-go until I arrive at something stable). So I looked around in Oxygen’s frameworks directory, and I’m noticing that some dir...

Autocomplete: possible to lengthen?
I love oXygen’s autocomplete feature. In fact, I wish I could make it longer! That way when the little panel pops up with all the functions, operators, and axes I can possibly use (especially when editing XSL), I can see more items listed before I have to scroll. Is there a way to customize this? Pe...

Catalogs not working for XProc?
My (lack of) Experience with XML Catalogs I have never (knowingly) used Catalogs before. The Problem I have an XProc pipeline that is sendi...

Aside: This is for a school project and I thought I was doing reasonably well, but now I'm really against the wall, and trying not to freak out. :) I had a pipeline that was working which used the p:http-request step. Yesterday I ran this pipeline again and got a very strange error. I have absolute...
