Re: Printing tracked changes/comments
Thanks very much, Radu, I'll try it. This is yet another incentive, however, to my team's upgrading to 2.0!

Re: Printing tracked changes/comments
Thanks, Radu. When I print to PDF now, new text marked with track-changes background color in the Oxygen editor prints, but not with highlighted background, thus it isn't demarcated from pre-existing text. We are on an older version of DITA-OT (1.65 I think). Are you saying if we upgrade to DITA 2.0...

Printing tracked changes/comments
I'm exploring the Track Changes feature of Oxygen Author. I want tracked changes to not only print in PDF but to retain the color they have in the Editor, or be marked by any color that sets off the deletion/insertion from the rest of the text. I know how to change the background color and/or font c...

Can't open .docm output file
Using the DITA Map MS Office Word - Experimental transformation scenario, I generated output for a ditamap. However, the output file is a .docm file (Word file with macros) and Windows refuses to open the file, saying in an error message that it did not open the file because it found problems with t...

Re: Customizing Responsive WebHelp
Everything works, except that padding-top is not the correct css setting. Changing padding-top simply adds padding above both logo and publication title. What I need is the setting that bumps publication title down in comparison to the logo, so that they are more or less aligned at the bottom edge. ...

Customizing Responsive WebHelp
Hi, I'm trying to customize Responsive WebHelp to make a minor modification in the output's appearance: The publication title is too high compared to my company logo. The logo is perhaps a bit large, and so the publication title needs to have padding on the top of approximately 12px. I used to do th...

Re: Refreshing WebHelp with Feedback deployment
Meant to say version 16.0... One last WebHelp with Feedback question (I promise!) I am so very pleased with the result of posting my company's documentation on an internal server using WHwF, and so are my internal customers. But one relatively minor problem remains: the introductory text in any give...

Re: Smart copy-paste
Within the past few days, running the latest version of Oxygen with no reversion to the previous JRE, I have noticed that when I copy-paste content from MS Word the formatting is retained, including table data. Just now tried with Excel and it works as expected.
Seems to be fixed!

Re: Refreshing WebHelp with Feedback deployment
That is correct. However, all the files in the install folder at the root are dated about three weeks ago (15/7/2015), and it's possible I did use version 16.1 on that date to generate the help. I don't clear the output directory before running transformations, so I'm sure it's a relic. I'll remove ...

Re: Refreshing WebHelp with Feedback deployment
Hi, Thanks for the tips; I should have checked first to see whether this topic had already been covered. You say above that the install folder should not be copied over. There are actually two install folders, one in the root of the output folder and one in the oxygen-webhelp folder. Presumably you ...

Refreshing WebHelp with Feedback deployment

Re: Changing default values for table creation
Hello Gary, First of all, you should make sure that you've saved the extension as external, for example in: OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR\frameworks\ext_dita\ext_dita.framework This new ext_dita folder should contain all additional resources that your framework requires. All of your authors already have the b...

We will use that workaround in Author 17.0. It is strange, though, that the problem doesn't occur in Author 16.1.

When I try to do smart paste from an Excel file into a concept topic in Oxygen Author, the copied table cells just go in as plain text. Re: Eclipse Help transformation problem
Hi Radu, The DITA-OT I use was simply copied from its location in the /frameworks/dita folder in Oxygen (I think version 15.0 or perhaps 14.1) to the root of my hard drive in order to make small changes that don't get overwritten with a new installation. I mainly customize the appearance of PDFs, an...
