How to suppress "error when parsing reference" errors?

We use Oxygen with the Ixiasoft DITA CMS. When a user opens a ditamap in Oxygen, Oxygen often will not be able to locate other maps referenced from that map because the maps are not present in their Eclipse workspace (because they've never opened them before). When Oxygen can't find the map, it logs...

Re: Is there a way to deploy Oxygen with a custom term list specified?

Ah, understood. In that case, it would be very nice if there was a method for specifying custom term lists in the configuration before deployment. For example, like I can with the idGenerationDefaultOptions.xml file to specify if ID generation is on by default or not.

Thanks!

Re: Is there a way to deploy Oxygen with a custom term list specified?

In this case we're using Oxygen with the IXIASOFT CMS, so I believe that a group project would not be feasible.

I will look into a custom plugin.

Thanks!

Is there a way to deploy Oxygen with a custom term list specified?

I know that users can manually add a term list on the Dictionaries preference page, but is there a way I can configure Oxygen so a term list is included by default?

We aren't use any CSS customizations and I am able to replicate it on my machine. I will contact support so we can debug this issue further. Thanks Radu!

[CSS]: string index out of range: -34

Using the Eclipse plugin version 18.1.0.v2017013018 (with Ixiasoft DITA CMS). One of our users created a map with a keyref and this element causes 2 [CSS]: String index out of range: -34 errors when opening the map in an Oxygen editor window. Here's the markup of the map: <?xml version="1.0&quo...

Replacing hints styles with custom hints

I know I could replace the hints style that comes with Oxygen by replacing the hints.html file in \frameworks\dita\css\hints\, but I'd like way that I could point to an external location to pull in a custom hints file so users don't need to update a local version every time we make updates. Is there...

Re: org.osgi.framework.BundleException warning

Ahh, I didn't notice my version was out of date. I saw the last 3 digits were the same and thought I was on the latest version. I will try the new version and see if the problem is resolved before trying anything else.

Thanks!

Re: org.osgi.framework.BundleException warning

When Eclipse does not recover, it never recovers. It just hangs with a grayed-out window.

I will try jconsole and if I have trouble I'll contact support using the email address you provided.

Thanks!

org.osgi.framework.BundleException warning

I get this warning in Eclipse sometimes and it seems to cause Eclipse to hang. Sometimes Eclipse recovers and sometimes it doesn't: While loading class "ro.sync.util.security.f$2", thread "Thread[Worker-3,5,main]" timed out waiting (4991ms) for thread "Thread[Worker-1,5,main...

Trying to insert a weblink resulting in nullPointerException

Using Oxygen 17.1, I have a writer who is unable to insert a weblink into a DITA topic. She gets this error: Couldn't execute operation: 'ro.sync.ecss.extensions.dita.link.InsertXrefOperation' for action: 'Web Link...' because of: class java.lang.NullPointerException - null I am not able to reproduc...

Re: <tm> element not displayed in Author mode

So my thoughts on full tags mode are if I want to see full tags, I want to see ALL full tags. That's the whole point of full tags mode in my mind. Otherwise it looks like someone inserted the actual tm (or circled r, etc.) symbol instead of using the correct DITA element. I appreciate you reconsider...

<tm> element not displayed in Author mode

In version 17.1.0.v2015101417, when authoring in DITA, the <tm> element (for eample, <tm tmtype="reg">Microsoft</tm>) is never displayed in Author mode even when using full tags. The <tm> element is present in Text mode. As far as I can tell, this is the only DITA element that is not displ...

Yeah, once in a while we do. It's rare (and annoying) but it does happen. Mostly for release notes for a release with a ton of resolved issues.

Thanks Radu!

New tables appear to be limited to 100 rows

When inserting a new table using Oxygen 16, it appears that the limit is 100 rows. Any value entered above 100, Oxygen just creates a table with the last used value (which is 3 by default). Is this expected behavior? If so, this is a bit confusing to users because you can enter a value that is just ...

Re: File transport reader exceptions when updating the Eclli

I now have a user who cannot even install the plugin at all. Normally after 2-3 attempts the installation succeeds. But for this user the download always times out and she gets this error. She's tried on 2 different networks. Any ideas on what's causing this? Would it be possible to download what I ...

Re: File transport reader exceptions when updating the Eclli

The Automatically detect settings check box is selected and the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box is not selected. I assume that means I am not behind a proxy.

Re: Key commands removed in Oxygen 15 Eclipse plugin?

I'm using Eclipse 3.5.2. Really old, I know, but that's the version our CMS (Ixiasoft) supports. However, I just test ALT+SHIFT+E, ALT+SHIFT+<, and ALT+SHIFT+/ and they work. I'm not sure why they didn't work after I upgraded and restarted yesterday but they do seem to be working now. The key comman...

Whenever I try to update the Oxygen Eclipse plugin, I get a "'File Transport Reader' has encountered a problem. Transfer Exception" error. The Eclipse download site I have specified is http://www.oxygenxml.com/InstData/Editor/Eclipse/site.xml. Usually I am able to install the updates after...

Key commands removed in Oxygen 15 Eclipse plugin?

There used to be key commands for the refactoring options in the Eclipse plugin. For example, wrapping the selection in an element was ALT+SHIFT+E and deleting the current element was ALT+SHIFT+X (I think). But with Oxygen 15 these key commands seem to be removed. I still see the commands listed in ...

How to change what is inserted for an element

Hi all. Sorry if this is in the incorrect forum. In our OT implementation, we need to have a <p> element inside a <stepresult> element (and some others, but I'll stick to <stepresult> for this question). Right now, when I insert a <stepresult>, I have to remember to also insert a <p> inside the <ste...
