Re: Suddenly can't drag to move tags
Thanks Radu, I rebooted the workstation and the problem vanished. It was only affecting Oxygen, I had checked and I was still able to drag using other applications, just not in Oxygen. In any case restarting seems to have fixed it, I can now drag tags around as before. These workstations are a pain ...

Suddenly can't drag to move tags
I've always been able to drag DITA elements around in Author mode but suddenly for the past few days I can't. Nothing happens when I try to move a <li> tag by dragging it for example, I have to copy and paste it instead. I just reset the global options hoping I had inadvertently changed some setting...

Re: Modifying base-font in Apache FOP PDf transform
Thanks, that was a good idea to test using monospace. It didn't change anything either, so I investigated and finally discovered that I was pointing to a DITA-OT in a slightly different location. We have a small complication in that we can't modify anything in the Program Files directories, so I had...

Modifying base-font in Apache FOP PDf transform
A few years back I made the following note to myself in the DITA-OT file commons.attr.xsl, as a reminder about how I had changed the PDF output base font to sans-serif: <!-- added font-family attribute to change the base font to sans serif --> <xsl:attribute-set name="base-font"> <xsl:attr...

Re: DITA to Confluence -- Dita2go
Hi,
Thanks for the reply, we were actually trying to use Dita2go and are giving up on it, which is a long story.
For the rest I'll reply in the support form with a mockup example, something I shouldn't put here in the public form.

Re: DITA to Confluence -- Dita2go
Okay thanks Radu,
I have another quick question, have you or anyone done output as Word .doc/.docx, with images inline?
I can see RTF as a transformation format and it works, but without images embedded.

DITA to Confluence -- Dita2go
Has anyone had any success converting or publishing DITA to Confluence, specifically curious if anyone has used Dita2go for this? We're starting with Dita, using Oxygen as the editor, and now we're looking into using Confluence as the target UI because of the interactivity and workflow, people can l...

Can't make Sharepoint connection
Hello, We’re having trouble making a Sharepoint connection. The same credentials that work with other tools don’t seem to work with the Oxygen panel, we get authentication errors no matter how we enter credentials that work in any other tool. I've verified the login details (domain, address, users a...

Re: Error in DITA to PDF
Thanks Radu, I had a response from XEP this morning that pointed me to that thread also, and adding that parameter solved the problem. I tried everything to zero in on which content was generating it but it was a moving target, made no sense at all. One chapter seemed to be causing it, and I couldn'...

Re: product name not being picked up in Infocenter
Hi Sorin, I got your replacement template working. I had commented the old one out and put yours below it, everything looked correct with the comment marks, the old one was totally grayed out, I tried several more times and double-checked everything, but it wasn't working. Finally I tried deleting t...

Re: product name not being picked up in Infocenter
I just tried it on a simpler bookmap and had the same result, it looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE bookmap PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DITA BookMap//EN" "bookmap.dtd"> <bookmap id="customization.test"> <booktitle> <mainbookt...

Re: product name not being picked up in Infocenter
I replaced the template with that, and the plugin.properties file now has none of the content from before except the book title, followed by every topic title in the book and what looks like maybe short descriptions in some cases. <book title> <topic title> <topic title><topic title> <topic title> ....

Re: product name not being picked up in Infocenter
Sorry, small correction: That's called the plugin.properties file. It's produced as part of the product plugin. The template seems to be called eclipse.properties, but the output text in it all matches the output in the plugin.properties file.

Re: product name not being picked up in Infocenter
Great. That works for the plugin.xml file. The other problem was in the plugin.properties file, which is a template a little further down in the same stylesheet. Could you possibly tell me how to modify this to accomplish the same? When I try inserting normalize-space( ...in a similar place (lines 9...

Re: product name not being picked up in Infocenter
I figured out another way to do this: I can just leave the output directory in place, with those html and .ini files I need inside of it, then set up the script a different way so one particular xml file from the output generation from Oxygen triggers the script. There is one other thing I wanted to...

Re: product name not being picked up in Infocenter
That worked perfectly, thanks. This may seem like a simple question, but can you tell me how I can include a plugin_customization.ini file, and two HTML files, inside the generated product plugin folder? I don't want or need the HTML pages to be generated as dita topics, just simple HTML for the int...

Re: Error in DITA to PDF
Yes that was it. It doesn't like: <ol> <li></li> <li><codeblock></codeblock></li> <li></li> </ol> The warnings all correspond to instances of that. I can ask XEP, but offhand can you explain what he means by this? As a workaround, I recommend using 'margin-left' for this case. I don't understand how...

Re: Error in DITA to PDF
Sorry I hadn't read this yet: http://services.renderx.com/lists/xep-support/1829.html I'll investigate more. I only have one topic with a list nested in a list, and removing the topic didn't change the warnings. I'm thinking maybe codeblocks nested inside a list, I have lots of those. It explains mo...

Re: Error in DITA to PDF

Re: Getting formatted code samples into DITA
Okay, that was useful to know that simply pasting it in to a codeblock tag should work. I was copying from what seemed like a text file but it was actually an .rtf format, so I moved it to a plain text file as an intermediary and copied from there, and that way it pastes in without mixing up the ali...

Re: DITA to PDF error, no PDF output now despite build success
Actually the "results too large" was in the error message that you pointed me to that was similar to mine, I should have been more clear about that. I had seen that on the Web also actually, and it was just a clue, since the error was so similar to the one I was getting. I had a response f...

Getting formatted code samples into DITA
Could someone walk me through the preferred way to get code/markup into DITA using Oxygen? I knew how to do this by importing text files in other XML tools but I'm not working out how to do it with Oxygen. I read about <coderef> and tried that but not getting what I need. I just want to insert somet...

Re: Image scaling depending on output
Great. That seems to work perfectly now. With the other error message, I think I see what happened. When I took off the scale attribute to try the modification above, then one of the images was too large for the system and it didn't appear at all, thus that error. Now that the modification works, an...

Re: Image scaling depending on output
That would be a great solution. It doesn't seem to like that code- just to be clear, you're talking about replacing the top one entirely with the bottom code, right? Eliminating the "if test" code and just telling it the scale to use? Could you take a quick look at the code again? It doesn...

Image scaling depending on output
If I put screenshots and other graphics in what seem like normal sizes, e.g. 500px wide, they come out as far too large in my PDF output. If I use "scale=50" attribute, that solves that and they come out well for the PDF, but then are far too small in my Eclipse Infocenter HTML output. If ...

Re: DITA to PDF error, no PDF output now despite build success
Well, reinstalling RenderX hadn't solved it after all, as you know from our email exchange when I sent the sample. I decided that it just had to be something wrong with the map, since my other ditamap builds fine no matter what. I just kept experimenting with the problem map, tossing parts of it out...
