Re: Author Mode: Insert element clobbers Copy/Paste clipboar
Tried it in a 100% Linux X11 Desktop environment on the Linux GUI console.
Pasting is possible with href errors on the page.
The "validation errors" dialog pops up, but you can select "Paste as plain text"
then it works

Re: Author Mode: Insert element clobbers Copy/Paste clipboar
A similar thing happen when you have something on the clipboard but before you want to paste you first need to add an element to a file. If you press ENTER and select a P element just before the paste you get "Split P" in stead of the clipboard contents. This is just annoying and easy to w...

Yes, I am very happy with the result. No problems. I have to make a small change to the topic/phrase template that is called from abbreviated-form.

I just backported the abbreviated form as a customization. It is not hard to do.

Re: Validation errors in FO files
Yes same here: The PDF looks just fine. But just to prevent "silly" errors from obscuring real ones it is better to loose them by "correcting" the stylesheet.
When are those renderx guys going to improve their error messages... I also asked them to do that. Let wait and see.

Looking at the style-sheets I do not see styles for <abbreviated-form>. Proposed work-around
It turns out that underscores (_) in xml:lang attributes are no longer re-written in to dashes (-) in the vars.xsl transform.
In DITA OT 1.6.1 you have to write languages with dashes: xml:lang="en-GB"
Review all your topics (and bookmaps) for this!

Re: Display SWkeys TTF font in XML Author
I think the problem is with the fact that the SWKeys font in encoded in ISO-8859-1, not unicode. I downloaded free font KCaps from http://www.searchfreefonts.com/download ... x?d=207934 and this is Unicode. When I use this, the GUI does show key-cap glyphs.

Why are tables always formatted "proportional" in FOP/PDF
The DITA editor allows to insert proportional and fixed tables into the document. A propotional table only specifies the relative column widths with multiplication factors 1.0* 1.0* 2.0* etc. The table stretches the body region and the columns get widths relative to their weight. FINE. But when you ...
