Re: PDF index page layout

Hi, I'm afraid that the "column-fill: balance" property value is not supported in the current implementation of the Chemistry engine that oXygen uses. I've just added an improvement request in our internal tracking system and added your feedback and vote for it. We will update this thread when/if th...

Re: How to customize appendix titles

Hi Chris, In our internal development stream, we improved this by implementing support for the "topicrefclass" attribute instead of "oxy:topicref-class", so the internet browsers should match it correctly. The support will be implemented in the next release of oXygen / PDF Chemistry. If you cannot w...

Re: Sharing CSS files between authoring window and Chemistry PDF (and WebHelp HTML5?)

Hi Chris, That sounds like a good plan. However, as you specified that the users are also working with the Author view, in order to obtain the same results also in the output (for the PDF to look similar to the Author view), I would like to add that you should use the DITA Map PDF based on CSS only ...

Re: Sharing CSS files between authoring window and Chemistry PDF (and WebHelp HTML5?)

Hello, It is very complicated to guess what you tried to obtain and what did not work only by reading this post. I'm pretty sure that the issues you encountered are related to specificity. More exactly, there could be some rules in the dita.css or other default CSS files used by oXygen, that have a ...

Hi Santosh, Regarding the TOC, I thought you refer to the page numbers specific for the topic references in the TOC list. Re: Preface

Hello, You could do this through your own CSS customization. You should make sure you use the right selectors with the @page at-rule to add content to the specific pages you need to modify (i.e front-page, for the cover, table-of-contents, for the TOC, etc). There is no dedicated named-page availabl...

Re: text alignment

Hi, You should: - check if you have a dir="rtl" attribute on the root of your XML file and change its value to dir="ltr" . - check what option do you have selected in the oXygen menu Options > Preferences > Editor > Open, under the "Support for Special Characters" section. You could either let oXyge...

Re: Picture titles formatting with CSS

Hello,

Have you followed Dan's instructions?

So you need to match the figcaption element, with the class figcap:

Code: Select all

.figcap {
font-style : italic ;
font-size : 1em ;
}
If you use specifically this rule in your customization CSS, it is not possible to receive that error message.

Re: Template selecting and oxygen.css

Hello,

You should send the full transformation log to support and we will analyze it.
However, you should also try publishing with a fresh installation of oXygen (deployed in a separate folder) and with the default DITA-OT that comes bundled with oXygen and see if it works.

As a workaround, you could wrap your MathML equations in <equation-block/> or <equation-inline/> elements. Then write a rule in your customization CSS that matches those equations and use the "Courier New" font, add padding, margins, borders or any other styling you want. For example: *[class~="eqn-...

Yes, because there is another counter-reset in the default CSS for deep numbering, which is actually overwritten by the "counter-reset" property you use in your custom CSS. That's why I advised you to take a look at the default css used for deep numbering , in order to identify if there are any othe...
