Webhelp Glossary help
Using a topichead and glossrefs (with print="yes") to individual glossentry dita files I was able to get my pdf glossary to look exactly as expected: Glossary title with individual entries to browse thru. When I transformed to CHM & Webhelp the output was not as expected. In my searche...

Customize WebHelp
Is there a way to specify a different folder for WebHelp customizations? For PDF transforms the parameter dita.dir can be changed to specify a different DITA-OT or customization.dir can be change to specify a different customization folder. I have a few font changes and a header logo that I would li...

Thanks Radu, outputFile.base works great. Delivers the correctly named file to the right place without any extra baggage.

Re: Script to process multiple Transformations
Another interesting feature (?). Regardless of the value under the Output tab, Output folder with a value for outputFile the pdf lands in the parent folder (location of ditamap). I added "out/" to the beginning of each of the file names for outputFile and the files land in the out folder. ...

Re: Script to process multiple Transformations
Hi Radu, I tried the outputFile parameter and had some odd results. The transformation ran and created the correctly named pdf but then opened the pdf from the previous unmodified transformation (the file that had the unmodified file name). At first I thought the previous transformation was the one ...

Script to process multiple Transformations
Hi, I have a project that includes a dozen or more pdf targets from a single ditamap, a dozen transformations (each using a different ditaval), and a few dozen dita files. Conditional profiling takes care of which topics to include with which pdf targets. I currently run each transformation, change ...

Hello, For every occurance of a xref to an email address such as <xref href="yourEmail@address.com" format="html"/> I get an error like [java] [DOTX063W][WARN]: It appears that dita file 'yourEmail@address.com' is not referenced by a topicref tag in the ditamap file. Please make ...

Re: DITA-OT 1.5.4
Thanks Radu, That got it done. I think I must be doing something wrong. I have 4 complete sets of the OT when I should probably have 2. The first 2 are OT 1.5.3 that came with Oxygen, one in the Oxygen install and the second in the same folder as my project content files. The second is where I've be...

DITA-OT 1.5.4
I'm trying to implement the new release of DITA-OT-1.5.4. I downloaded the zip and copied the extracted files to a sub folder with my content files (ditamap and dita). I made a dublicate of a working transformation scenario and changed the paramenter for dita.dir to "${cfd}/DITA-OT154". Wh...

Re: Creating subtitles on first page from ditamap
Thanks Radu,
I had one bit of trouble. In front-matter-attr.xsl in
<xsl:attribute-set name="__frontmatter__owner__container">
the top attribute was set to 210, effectively pushing the content off the page. I set it to 20 and there my content was. All better.

Creating subtitles on first page from ditamap
Using a Bookmap with a <booktitlealt> I can create a subtitle on the title page of the PDF render, no problem. Now I want to the do the same thing from a ditamap. In front-matter_1.0.xsl I tried: <xsl:apply-templates select="//*[contains(@class,' map/map ')][1]/*[contains(@class,' map/topicmeta...

Re: Getting a wide table to print in landscape
What kind of customizing is needed? I too have a table (several) in a topic that is part of a larger ditamap. Only a few tables needs to be oriented to landscape. How can this be accomplished?

Large PDF failed to render
My pdf renders have grown to over 600 pages with all topics enabled. Above 600 pages the pdf won't render, 599 works ok. When I adjust the ditaval filters to stay below 600 pages the render transforms are Ok. Different ditavals work ok and all topics work under some ditavals as long as the total pag...

Reusable content (table) error
I created a table (it's a CALS table, 3 rows, and is used many times) and then did "Create Reusable Component" on the DITA menu. In several different topics I imported this table with "Insert Reusable Content" on the DITA menu. Now I'm getting the following Authoring error: "...

Re: Conditional processing
Thanks for the quick response. Actually I like your solution (a single ditamap for multiple output) better than my plan to create multiple datamaps. The DITAVAL filter file is new to me, I'll research that. I'm not clear on how to implement the DITAVAL in the transformation scenarios but you have de...

Conditional processing
Hello, How do I set up automatic conditional processing? Specifically I want to use the product attribute to control if an element is included or not. Table header row control
Using the default DITA xml transformation to PDF I get tables ok but I need to change the style sheet (or something) for a couple of formatting issues. 1) How do I get rows not to break over page breaks? 2) How do I get table header row entries to render vertically? 3) How do I change the header row...
