allow relative linked folders in projects
I just moved a project to a new location and discovered, after doing a lot of work, that the linked folders I had been using still pointed to the original location. I was a little annoyed but I know that I shouldn't make these assumptions. Being a relatively smart cookie, I figured that if I edited ...

XML Differencing
I would really like to have the ability to do a diff on two XML files, with perhaps an interactive merge. It often happens that I'll have two versions of the same file I'm working on, one locally on my laptop, the other on the network share. There are other reasons for it too. There are several open...

Schema Documentation
I'm really liking the new schema documentation feature in 4.2. Its going to make my clients really happy when I give them my schema to work with (those whom I've convinced to use Oxygen at any rate). However, I'm running into a problem. I want to use HTML for my documentation, complete with links to...

Problems with linked directories
Hey guys, I seem to have found a problem in Oxygen... Or at least as it runs on OSX 10.3. In my project, I have a linked directory. That linked directory worked fine until today when I added a symbolic link to another directory. Now if I try to open that link, Oxygen hangs. Its possible that if I le...

I can't type a < character in some docs
This a completely evil and annoying problem I created a new xsl transform and was happily working away. Now I can't type the < character. I can paste it in but I can't type it. If I go to a different XSLT document that I already had open, I can type the character no problem. On a hunch, I tried some...

A couple of features I'd love to have
I'll admit that I may be the only person in the universe who would want them but right now I'd like to see two very different things. 1) I'd LOVE to be able to use the VI keys. I've just started using vim for most of my coding but I can't do XSLT without oxygen. Never the less, you have NO idea how ...

Odd Behaviour with Samba Shares
I've just moved from working on a PC to my shiny new PowerBook. To access department resources, I need to mount a number of servers using samba. Today I encountered a strange problem. It seems that if there is a space in the name of one of the folders, Oxygen can't correctly find the file, even when...

It would be exceptionally powerful if, instead of the current scenario mechanism, the Cocoon pipelines could be used. This would allow us to chain any number of transforms in sequence. It would also allow us to use serializers other than the 4 we get already (HTML, Text, XML, PDF). I don't know if t...

Custom Tools
I think I need to explain something I threw out there a little eariler a bit better. I almost exclusively use Oxygen for developing XSL templates. I use a lot of Modes in my transforms. Like anyone whose written more than a half dozen templates, most of my apply-templates tags look like: <xsl:apply-...

Scenario improvements
hey guys, There are a couple of things I'd like to see to make scenarios more helpful. First of all, I'd like to see scenarios get associated with projects, not the application (as it seems to be now). I seldom use the same scenarios in different projects and my scenario list is getting cluttered. I...

better memory managment
I can understand that if you open up a lot of documents, you're going to use up a lot of memory. Right now I have about a 12K worth of files open and oxygen is taking up 286, 436K :x (according to TaskManager, WinXP). Clearly that's not sustainable. Granted my XSL is a little complex but not by much...

The Problem with Projects
Has anyone else had problems with folders in projects? I often find that when I go back to a project after closing it, some of the files I had created are now lost. It seems to happen alot with imported folders but that may be becuase I've been using primariliy imported folders. And speaking of fold...

XSL Features: Debugging and context awareness
Hi guys. I've seen it for a while and I've come to rely on it; it is the single most significant feature that I miss after having moved from StylusStudio to Oxygen. XSL Debugging by stepping through the code is exceptionally helpful. Debugging XSL is a lot of work without an IDE to allow you to do t...

Indenting: xml:space
One thing I seem to recall seeing elsewhere was pretty printing that takes xml:space into account. which is to say that if the value is "preserve" (I think that's the right value) then all the whitespace is preserved. A handy little feature.
