Disable validation entirely
Hi all - I was just working with a METS file with over 217,000 namespaces declared. Almost all of these are declared inline, and there are many many many duplicates (in fact, only ~40 distinct namespace URIs). All I was wanting to do was review some parts of the document, but the Trusted Hosts dialo...

Add OS/arch to spellcontrol check
Hi all -- I understand that this doesn't really qualify as a *common* problem, but it is one that I encounter occassionally: I use FreeBSD and I get the following error when I invoke oXygen or diff* from the command line: 13:44:52,484 0 ERROR [ main ] ro.sync.azcheck.ui.spellcontrol.hunspell.f - The...

..snip... Hm, okay. Is that a feature request, or not on the roadmap at all? Alternately, (and I'll work up a test for this) do you think that executing the transform against a catalog file would speed things up at all? Thanks again for your help! ...snip... Re: Slow Transformation Scenarios in Projects
Hi Adrian - thanks for the reply. Hello, This could be a Saxon issue, but requires further investigation. 1. What version of Oxygen are you using (guessing v19.1 which means Saxon 9.7.0.19)? XML Editor 19.1, build 2017102417 2. What version of saxon9he are you using in the command line? Saxon-HE 9.7...

Slow Transformation Scenarios in Projects
Hi all -- When we are working with oXygen Projects and tranforming large directories of files, we seem to be running into a slowdown, especially versus running saxon9he from the command line. This occurs on multiple OSs -- MacOS X, Ubuntu, and FreeBSD. I haven't had an opportunity to test this on Wi...

Excuse me, please. I think I'm the problem here (PEBKAC) -- I had inserted a comment `(:...` above the XPath expression and it looks like that's what was causing the error.
Apologies for the noise.

Editor v19.1 build 2017102417: XPath bug or is it me?
Hi all, I'm having a weird issue with the XPath/XQuery Builder in v19.1 and I'm not sure if it's me, or a bug, or what. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Given a file: <list> <entry coll="abc" dept="def" disc="ghi"/> </list> Trying to run the following XPath 1.0...

Fedora 20 menu behavior
Hi all, One of my coworkers is experiencing odd UI behavior with oXygen 15.1 and Fedora 20. All of the menus expect a 'hold and select' behavior - I'm afraid I don't know the correct term for it - basically, to open the File menu a left click and hold is required. Selecting an item from the menu is,...

Turn off DTD validation for HTML 4.1 loose.dtd?
Hi all, I'm processing a set of hOCR files that were generated with the following <!DOCTYPE> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> . Saxon-EE has issues with the DTD due to it being an SGML DTD (yes? I'm not sure). ...

Identity transform adds attributes to elements.
Hi all, I'm seeing a problem in the following identity transform. I've tried running the transform from the command line (with both an older version of Saxon, as w...

Do you mean you added the files DI-Lite.properties and DI-Lite.xml which are duplicates of the files Lite.properties and Lite.xml (which means we know that they are valid Oxygen template files) but after you restarted the Oxygen application the new template name DI-Lite was not listed in the New di...

Cheers!
