Stability
I think I may have spoken too soon. Though 2.0 opens, it crashes frequently, and is also quite slow doing search-and-replace operations (the Find dialog box still behaves rather inconsistently, if not as strangely as in 1.2.4). I'm trying to search English text and replace it with Hebrew entities......

It works now!
I reinstalled Java 1.4.1, rebooted, and now oXygen 2.0 opens, albeit with the following error messages in my console.log. Speed seems fine (I'm running it on an 800MHz G4). 2003-04-03 17:57:44.509 JavaApplicationStub[609] Warning: Font LucidaSans-TypewriterBold claims fixed-pitch with 0 max advance!...

hm...
I think something must be wrong now with my Java install... oXygen 1.2.4, which was opening without problems yesterday, now will not start. I will reinstall Java 1.4.1 and see if that takes care of my issues.

startup errors -- oXygen 2.0/Java 1.4.1/Mac OS X 10.2.4
I can't get oXygen to finish loading--only the application menu appears and nothing else in the menubar. Files that are dragged and dropped on the application icon do not open. I tried deleting all the com.oxygen.* preference files, with no effect. I've replicated this on a similarly configured Powe...

XEP how-to for OS X
Thanks for the help! Incidentally, I'm using Mac OS X 10.2.4 with JDK 1.4.1. After reading through more documentation, and some experimentation, I was able to get it to work without the limitation you identified. Assuming that XEP is in /Applications/XEP Step 1: copy/move the files (xt.jar, saxon.ja...

XEP and oXygen?
I don't know enough about Java to know whether it's possible to use RenderX's (http://http://xep.xattic.com/) Java XSL-FO processor XEP (sorry about the density of jargon!) with oXygen... so... has anyone gotten it to work, and if so, what do I need to do (i.e., among other things, what do I enter i...

Final Java 1.4.1 does not fix
I still have the save bug as originally posted above. Since no one else has reported it, and I have not been able to test this on another OS X installation, it could be something broken in my own setup.

Java version
For what it's worth, this is what I get:
I upgraded to 1.4.x because it was so much faster and more responsive than 1.3.x. As I said, I can get around the bug, but I thought I should report what I was experiencing in case it is more widespread.

Hm...
Actually, I was running Oxygen first under DP9 (but I wasn't using it very much at that point, so I can't say if the file save bug was evident in that combination). I should also add that I'm running OS X 10.2.4.

Save bug with OS X/Java 1.4.1 DP 10?
Here's a scenario I've been experiencing using Oxygen on Mac OS X with Java 1.4.1 Developer Preview 10. 1. I save the results of an XSL transformation to a given filename (i.e., "site.html") 2. I make changes to the stylesheet or the XML file and then re-apply the transformation. Visually,...
