Re: Eclipse XML editor cannot find DTD after Author update

Excellent, Radu, that was it. The plugin/feature wasn't LanguageTools, it was Language Servers (I cropped the Problems view too close). I turned off the Language Server settings shown below, and then the errors went away after closing and reopening the file. And while I now knew what to search for, ...

Re: Eclipse XML editor cannot find DTD after Author update

Thanks, Radu. We don't build the docs from within Eclipse, so that DITA toolkit is not used. Pref>oxygen>DITA is thus not touched, the selected entry is for Built-in Oxygen Publishing Engine. Here is the Problems view, I'm not sure if this is the one you are looking for. 2022-05-10 15_11_29-eclipse-...

Eclipse XML editor cannot find DTD after Author update

I run oXygen XML Author in Eclipse 2021-09. I have used oXygen XML Author 23.1.0.v2021082307 for some time, today I ran an update and upgraded to oXygen XML Author 24.1.0.v2022041507. When I now opened my DITA project and opened a DITA source file, I got validation errors all over the XML editor. Th...

Excellent - I just upgraded to 14.2 and the keyrefs are indeed resolved. I should have checked before complaining, of course...

Resolve keyrefs in topic titles

When you open a map in the DITA Maps Manager, the title for the map is shown at the root node. The title is expanded, so for example <title><keyword keyref="relname"/> <keyword keyref="relversion"/> Version Description Document</title> gets properly expanded to "Release 1.2....

Dclick on document icon in Maps Manager has no effect

If you open a map in the DITA Maps Manager, each topicref is shown as a node with an icon and a title. To open the topic in the editor, you can double-click on the title or right-click and select Edit. Double-clicking on the icon itself has no effect. This is inconsistent with common behaviour, for ...

Re: Saving map from DITA Maps Mgr removes blank lines

Thanks Radu; merely a nuisance, but nice the get fixed; it is so much easier to use the DITA Maps Manager when restructuring a document compared to moving text around.

Saving map from DITA Maps Mgr removes blank lines

I like having some "air" in my maps, so I separate sections of the maps with blank lines and comments, like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE map PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DITA Map//EN" "map.dtd"> <map id="vdd" outputclass=...

Re: Opening *.ditamap files renders XML Editor unusable

Thank you, that helped. When I switch to Author mode for my maps now, it takes 9-10 seconds for it to render, not minutes (or indefinitely) as before. And with the trick to set Text as default editor mode for maps, I suddenly have a much more usable setup; I should have complained before, hehe... Th...

Re: Opening *.ditamap files renders XML Editor unusable

You can go to the Preferences->Oxygen->"Document Type Association" page and edit the "DITA Map" document type. There you can change the "Initial edit mode" to Text . Excellent, I was looking for something like this - here it is and it works perfectly; this setting will...

Opening *.ditamap files renders XML Editor unusable

I have used XML Editor for a couple of years, as an Eclipse plugin. I have always had the following problem, but with the latest versions it has worsened and renders my setup practically unusable. If I dclick a *.ditamap file, it opens in the editor in Author mode (=one of the three modes Text, Grid...
