Hmm, the Stack Overflow question was removed "for reasons of moderation" (which boggles the imagination).
I'm also curious about this topic and was hoping I'd find something via that link.
Can anyone provide any more information about the answer?

CSS and processing-instruction contents

I'm using oxy|processing-instruction in the CSS to format some PIs in my content.

I want to do some additional processing on the content of the PI (presenting only pieces of it), but I can't see how to access the content so I can apply CSS functions, such as oxy_substring().

Is this even possible?

XMetaL allows you to switch between their Map Editor and the XML editor for DITA maps. I was quite surprised to find that oXygen only goes one way: from the Maps Manager to the Editor.
