Re: WebHelp ditamap external scope link

Thanks, Radu. That definitely generates the target="_blank". Unfortunately, the link still opens in the webhelp content pane. It's weird because the code to open the link in a new window gets generated.

I'm just going to create a link to a dita topic and put the links in there.

WebHelp ditamap external scope link

I'm using some links in the TOC that are external to the DITA project. I was hoping that the ditamap would treat these links as dita files do: open in a new window. However, even thought the links have attributes scope=external and format=html, the links are generated in the WebHelp content pane, no...

Is there a way to suppress CSS element?

I'm trying to generate a clean, simplified HTML output. I need to suppress any <link> element to a CSS. Ideally, I'd like to suppress any metadata too.

Is there anyway to do this? There doesn't seem to be.

Thanks,

Scot

webhelp footer: args.ftr or webhelp.footer.file

The Oxygen help isn't clear to me. Can you elaborate on the difference between the webhelp parameters args.ftr and webhelp.footer.file?

Thank you,

webhelp parameters

Hi, We're using the command-line build for webhelp, using the plugin in our Jenkins server. Where do we add the parameters used in the Oxygen Editor configuration for webhelp? For example, I want to use args.breadcrumb, args.copycss, and args.ftr. I tried using these in our shell script (e.g., -Darg...

Re: Licensing Webhelp for command line only

I sent the license file from my email. Oddly enough, I was able to successfully build after editing the shell script. So, shell script built, but ANT did not. Weird.

Re: Licensing Webhelp for command line only

This solution didn't work for me. I have the license in the right place, and the jar files are there. Is there a canonical documentation of everything we need to do in order to incorporate this into our existing ANT build system? Because, this plugin isn't working so easily for me after I integrated...

What happened to the prompt to create a new file?

When I create a new topicref as a placeholder in a ditamap and click on that non-existant file in the DITA Maps Manager, I no longer get a prompt asking if I want to create that file. Is this a new feature of 15.1? Before I upgrade, any time I created a bogus topicref, I always got such a prompt.

Re: Canonical URL

Just in case anyone else hasn't figured this out, here's what my lovely wife came up with and it works great (all edits in /frameworks/dita/DITA-OT/plugins/comoxygenxml.webhelp/xsl/dita/desktop/common.xsl): 1. At the top, with the other params, add the following params: <xsl:param name="pathuri...

Re: Canonical URL

Actually, I'm not sure what we have to do. Currently, we're not passing it along. I've read that this is the only way to get the information I need. When I try a general XPATH-based solution, like base-uri, I only get the name of the XSL file which, in this case, is common.xsl. Your solution about g...

Re: Canonical URL

Thanks, Sorin. I was able to generate the path, but then it hit: I'm not all that smart. How the heck do I get the filename of the XML file (or its ID--which is the same in our repository) and then append ".html"?

Any ideas? My XSL skills have atrophied apparently.

Canonical URL

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to generate a canonical URL in the webhelp metadata. Is there a way to have Oxygen's webhelp generate such additional metadata?

Thanks,

Thanks, Sorin. I can no longer replicate this. I'm going to chalk it up to a hiccup in the memory or system.

DITA Webhelp: Ability to Generate Flat Output?

Does the DITA webhelp offer any way to generate the HTML files all in the same directory? The webmaster would prefer not to have to write redirects for a structure that now replicates our source directories. (Our previous HTML framework didn't replicate the source directories.)

Thanks,

DITA and WebHelp: links generated incorrectly

I find that a small percent of my links are generated incorrectly. I can't figure why. This XML: <li><xref href="http://www.eucalyptus.com/download/euca2ools" scope="external" format="html">Euca2ools</xref></li> gets generated like this: <li class="li"><a clas...

Re: Plugin Limbo

Thanks for the reply, Adrian. I finally figured it last night and had done what you suggested.

My idiocy apparently knows no bounds.

I'm up and running again, though still at a loss as to why it didn't work in first place. Oh well.

I appreciate your help.

Plugin Limbo

I have a Mac, OS X. I tried to install the Oxygen plugin, first by dropping the com folder into Eclipse's dropins folder. When that didn't work, I tried to install by the using the Eclipse's install new software feature. Still didn't work. However, Oxygen displays in list of available software. But ...
