Site Owners/Administrators must create an Oxygen Feedback account to access the administration and installation features. Commenters also need to create an account unless the particular site where Oxygen Feedback is installed allows anonymous users.

Creating an account in Oxygen Feedback is beneficial for personalizing comments, tracking communication, receiving email notifications when someone replies to your comments or adds a comment on a page you are tracking, and other purposes.

When Oxygen Feedback is installed on a webpage, you can click the Log in button or link to access the Log In/Sign Up dialog box. If this is your first time using the Oxygen Feedback system, you will need to create an account using one of the following methods:

To create an account using your name and email address:
  1. Go to the Sign Up tab in the Oxygen Feedback Log In/Sign Up dialog box.
  2. Enter your information.
  3. Select the I agree to the Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Policy option. You can click the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy links to navigate to a webpage where you can read those legal documents.
  4. Complete the reCAPTCHA test.
  5. Click the SIGN UP button at the bottom.

    Step Result: A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you entered.

  6. Open the email and click the Confirm email address button/link to complete the registration process.
    Note: The confirmation link is valid for 24 hours.

When Oxygen Feedback is installed on a webpage, you can click the Log in button or link to access the Log In/Sign Up dialog box. Registered users can log in using one of the following methods:

Log in with a Social Media Account

At the bottom of the Oxygen Feedback Log In/Sign Up dialog box, you can click on Log in with Google or Log in with Facebook to log in using your Google or Facebook credentials. If this is the first time using this particular login method, you will be asked to confirm and authenticate your Google/Facebook credentials.

Note: When logging in using this method, your avatar will be updated with your profile picture from Google or Facebook.
Log In with Your Email and Password

If you have already created an account using the Sign Up tab, you can log in using your registered email address and password from the Log In tab. You can select the Remember me option to save your login information in a cookie and your session will be automatically refreshed whenever it expires. The cookie is valid for two weeks.

If you are having trouble logging in because you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot password link in the Log In dialog box. This will open a page where you can request to have your password reset.

  1. Enter your email address.
  2. Complete the reCAPTCHA test.
  3. Click RESET PASSWORD.

    Step Result: You will receive an email that includes a reset password link.
    Note: The reset password link is valid for 24 hours.
  4. Open the email and click the Reset password button/link to open a webpage where you can change your password.

Edit online

All users have access to a profile management page where they can manage their account, change their password, or configure certain email notifications. To open this page, click the drop-down arrow to the right of your name on the right side of the Oxygen Feedback ribbon and select Profile.

This profile management page allows you to configure various aspects of your profile data:

Change Your Name
To change the name associated with your profile, click the Edit button in the General section and enter the change in the Name field.
Restriction: You cannot change the email address.
Change Your Avatar

To change your avatar, click the Edit button in the General section, then click the current avatar image and choose Select Photo. You can then browse for a local image to use for your avatar and click Save to finalize your change. The supported extensions are: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif. The maximum allowed size is 2048 KB.

To remove the current avatar, click the Edit button in the General section, then click the current avatar image, choose Remove, and click Save to finalize your change.
Note: When loading large avatar images, they might be resized and lose some image quality. This is done to reduce network data traffic.
Change Your Password
To change your password, click the Change password button in the Security section, enter your current password, then choose a new password, confirm it, and click Save password to finalize your change.
Delete Your Account
To delete your account, click the Delete button in the Delete Account section. A confirmation dialog box will appear. You will need to enter your password and click Delete to confirm the operation.
Note: Your comments (as well as all site configurations for Administrators or the site Owner) will be kept for 14 days, but will not be visible. To recover your account within those 14 days, log in, go to your Profile page, and select Recover. After recovering the account, comments (and site information for Administrators or the site Owner) will be visible again. If a site Owner deletes their account and does not recover the account within 14 days, the account is purged and all site configurations, versions, and comments associated with that account are purged.
Configure Email Notifications
To configure certain types of email notifications you will receive, go to the Notifications tab in the Profile page. You can choose to not receive any email notifications by deselecting the Send me email notifications when option. Otherwise, you can choose whether or not to receive an email notification when the following occurs:
  • Someone replies to one of my comments
  • Someone adds a comment on a topic where I added a comment

In addition, users automatically receive an email notification when certain events are triggered by an Administrator.
