Types of Review Tasks
Oxygen Content Fusion supports two types of review tasks: Project Review Tasks and Independent Review Tasks.
Project Review Tasks and Independent Review Tasks are designed for different review scenarios. The following information describes the main differences between them.

Project Review Tasks
Project Review Tasks are created from content in Oxygen Content Fusion projects. They belong to a project, and task owners can integrate accepted changes back into the project at the end of the review process as part of the project review task workflow.
Only users with the Author platform user role can create Project Review Tasks. All project members can see the review tasks created in that project. In addition, the task owner and any invited reviewers can see and access the task.
Use this type of task when the content is already managed in a Oxygen Content Fusion project.
Independent Review Tasks
Independent Review Tasks are not tied to a Oxygen Content Fusion project. They are useful when the content being reviewed is outside a project or when you start the review from a supported desktop tool.
Users with the Author platform user role and users with the Subject-Matter Expert platform user role can create Independent Review Tasks. Only the task owner and invited reviewers can see and access the task.
Any follow-up integration is handled outside the Oxygen Content Fusion review task workflow.
Independent Review Tasks can be created from Oxygen Content Fusion or from Oxygen XML desktop tools. To create them from Oxygen Content Fusion, see Creating an Independent Review Task.
