I have just encountered a stylesheet

<element url='bob'>

which should take precedence?

The last <xsl:attribute> instruction to be executed.

There are many sources of attributes, and the order applied to the result element node is:

  - first any xsl:use-attribute-sets= references
  - then any specified attributes
  - then any <xsl:attribute> instructions

The last value applied to a given attribute is the one that is used.

It is not possible to remove an attribute node from an element once one has been attached, but you can change its value.

Once you have added any children to the element you cannot change any of the attributes of that element.

I hope this helps.
