You don't. Validation is done after entity expansion - the schema validator does not see the entity reference, it sees the character that it expands to.

Hi,
I'm writing a xsd and i want to restrict a string to satisfie a pattern. Currently it looks like this:
([0-9]{1,2}([a-z]|\-[0-9]{1,2}|[,]\s{0,1}(Beilage | Newsletter [A-Za-zC<C$C6;]*))?|[0-9]{4})
Unfortunately after Newsletter there can also be entities likeÖ. How do i specify that in a schema ?!
You don't. Validation is done after entity expansion - the schema validator does not see the entity reference, it sees the character that it expands to.
