-else: Michael's logical reasonment is very convincing. Thanks David for the pointer.
-for the difference / & /root, Ken you are very right! I never had to read comments or P.I. before or after the document element so I didn't knew this feature! But I do also share Michael's point of view, and see as a limitation the fact that we can have only one document element.
