searching the archives of this list in future isn't really helped by subject lines as above. I couldn't match your description to your sample input. Each settings node can be specified as 'use settings from parent group', or 'specify my own settings'. which of these things is <user name="chris"> <usegroup="1" /> </user> "1" and "0" don't appear to be defined anywhere. when I tried to guess what it meant then I guessed that chris was using group 1 as was othergroup, but phil and default were using 0 so I would guess exactly the opposite answer to your suggested: Example, if parameter 'group' == default, it will output "chris" in the above example David ________________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned for all viruses by Star.
