Hi Archana, xsl:if test="$userid!='' is the correct test.. But I can see an ending " , not present in xsl:if The right syntax would be -- <xsl:if test="$userid != '' "> <!-- processing --> </xsl:if> The following may also be used -- <xsl:if test="string-length($userid) != '0' "> <!-- processing --> </xsl:if> Regards, Mukul --- Archana Rao <archana_heroor@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi, > > I am trying to comparing to see is a string is null, > > I have a param named userid, i want to check to see > if > '$userid' is not null. > > I tried <xsl:if test="$userid!=''>, this does'nt > seem > to help. > > > Thanks > Archana > > > > __________________________________ > Do you Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
