Jim, > why in a <xsl:if test=""/> does the greater than value '>' not throw > an error but '<' throws one ? obviously the use of > and < > works, no entity comments please..., You only *have* to use the > entity in the sequence ]]> when it appears in element content. It's a bit like the fact that you only have to use " when you want a double quote within an attribute value and you're using double quotes to delimit the attribute value.
