There is a "non-intrusive" joining option too.preceding
If you simply send an email to
XSL-FO-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxx
you should be able to subscribe to the XSL-FO group without the
"interrogation".

Certainly does. Many thanks, I'll take that option. I've had a few emails complaining I'm being too fussy or secretive, though that's not really the problem. I'm such a distinguished guy (tho not in the XSLT field!!) that all the stuff that egroups.com asks for is already in Whos Who in any library. But I object to inviting junk snail mail as well as spam, especially if in view of my age it's mostly from funeral insurance companies...
