Thanks Chris,
I realized about 5 min after I sent it that the path had spaces, but I did not know you could use quotes. That helps a lot. I seem to remember somone mentioning eating hardware after asking a question like this... hmm I have an old 1.2 gig hard drive laying around...

You need quotes because you have spaces saxon "C:\XML XSL\instant-saxon\paramTest\param.xml" "C:\XML >XSL\instant-saxon\paramTest\param.xsl"
