<father> <older_son>Bob</older_son> <younger_son>Peter</younger_son> </father>
I want to be able to deal with a child of the node "father" on the fly (using a variable), some thing like: <xsl:variable name="son" select="'older_son'"/> <xsl:value-of select="father/{$son}"/>
I found a solution, this seems to work: <xsl:variable name="son" select="'older_son'"/> <xsl:value-of select="father/*[name()=$son]"/> ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
