:Eddy, : :And the below is not an attribute value literal, or an :enumerated attribute :value, but an attribute name. Attribute names have to follow :the XML naming :rules. : :So again, the question is changing. No fair, ask it right the :first time! : :At 12:51 PM 5/9/00 -0400, you wrote: :>I don't know. But does it allow for :> :><x:anything David/XSL="David likes XSL"/> ???? Granted, but its only an attribute name in XSL and its an attribute value in XML and the DTD, a whole other reason why I can't use it if I want to test for it with this type of variable. (Note: I wrote a prior message detailing the actual variable test). Thanks for your reply, I greatly appreciate all the info. especially since it did not dawn on me until mentioned here that DAVID/XSL= would be considered a attribute name. Yeah! Okay so, I'm not the brightest bulb, but I'm gettin' this stuff, slowly but surely. Thanks! Eddy XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
