Re: `High-level' format specifications with XSL?
Subject: Re: `High-level' format specifications with XSL? From: Paul Prescod <papresco@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 03 Jul 1998 13:30:39 -0500 |
I addressed this issue in my SGML/XML 97 paper. http://www.cgl.uwaterloo.ca/Projects/meta/sgml97/papresco/ I believe that XSL and DSSSL should have mechansisms for the construction of higher-level flow objects in terms of lower-level flow objects. These mechanisms should go beyond "flow object macros" in that they should allow the inspection of flow objects. In the meantime, you must do XML->XML transformations and style the result.
