The element <toolSpec> contains the associated properties for one piece of support equipment.Some properties of the support equipment can vary from one product instance to another. Such properties are managed under the support equipment alternates (element <toolAlts>), which can contain a reference to an applicability annotation. Refer to Chap 4.13.3 for details on the alternates concept.For some properties appearing at both levels (<toolSpec> and <tool>), the following rule must be applied: if the property is fulfilled in the alternate element, it supersedes the generic value stored in the parent element.
