The element <originator> contains the identifier of the originating company or organization responsible for the production of the data module or publication module. The originator’s code is indicated with the company name, the CAGE code, which is the preferred method, or both. Normally, the originator is defined as the designated design authority of the Product. However, projects must nominate the originators. If a responsible partner company has an enterprise code, then that code must be used.
