The element <buyerFurnishedEquipFlag> indicates whether the customer furnishes the part or not, that is, it enables the data user to identify a buyer furnished equipment (BFE) part. As this value depends on the customer, the attribute applicRefId can be used to specify for which customer(s) the information is valid. Refer to Chap 3.9.5.3.
