[oXygen-user] oXygen 13.1: Problem with validating a large folder

Hello,

Thank you for letting us know about this.

A bug was introduced in Oxygen v13.1 in the batch validation mechanism
which leads to a large number of threads being created(one for each
validation/file). Each created thread consumes little memory but they
all add up and eventually consume all the memory available to Oxygen
when running a batch validation with thousands of files.

We have already identified and fixed this problem in our development
stream. The bugfix will be available in the next maintenance build of
v13.1, at the end of this week or the beginning of the next. We will
notify you as soon as the bugfix is released.

Currently the only workaround in v13.1 is to validate smaller batches of
files(below a thousand files), so you will have to select one ore more
directories from the Project view, right click on the selection and from
the popup menu choose Validate -> Validate. If a folder contains too
many files(over a thousand), you have to expand it and run separate
batch validations for its files/folders.

Please let us know if you need additional assistance.

Regards,
Adrian
