[oXygen-user] Feature Request: button/keystroke to Untag An Element

Hey Eliot,

Have you started keeping your eye on the element hierarchy list at
the top of the document in the Author view?

I'm finding it very useful. Not only does it indicate where in the
hierarchy the cursor is located, but I can select whole elements from
the ancestry of the current cursor position by clicking on its name
in the list.

To do what (I believe) you're asking about below is as simple as
getting the cursor in the right place (in between the wrapper and its
first or last child), and using backspace, delete or the equivalent
to remove a layer of containment. Other functionalities you're used
to from other products can probably be usefully addressed this way too.

Of course, when tags are invisible this does require you have a good
mental model of your element hierarchy -- but then you have that.

Cheers,
Wendell
