I'm using Author 11.2, build 2010080212.

In editing ditamap content, how do I get drop-down lists in the Attributes view with the values defined in my ditaval file?

Hi,

In Oxygen 12, which will be available in a couple of weeks you will be able to define profiling attributes and allowed values in the Oxygen preferences. Then you will get these values when editing in the Attributes view or when using a new contextual menu action called "Edit Profiling Attributes" which will allow you to check the desired values for an Author element. If you want, you can write us to our support email address and try an Oxygen 12 beta kit.

Another way is of course to customize the DITA DTD's and set some profiling values to the profiling attributes.
