Tokens for terminology?

Post by Surfbird »

Does Oxygen support token to an external source, eg. a terminology server?

Hi,

Could you be more specific? Do you want this for editing, for publishing? How would this work if it were available?

Basically so that when a technical writer is creating content, the system would offer correct terminology intercatively without the writer needing actively look for terms in the outside terminology server - can this be reached by using tokens that would be linked to the terms in an external term base.

Hi,

Oxygen has an SDK which is free to use:

https://www.oxygenxml.com/oxygen_sdk.html

and it has enough API so that a third party could implement a plugin which based on the changes made in the document would contact an external server and propose various choices.
So if you have a Java developer and are willing to create such a plugin using our SDK we could try to guide you along the way.
