Step 4: Associate the Schema to the Framework
In the bottom section of the Document Type configuration dialog box, there are a series of tabs. The Schema tab refers to the schema that is used for validation of the documents that match the defined association rules.
Important: If the document references a schema directly (for example, using a
DOCTYPE declaration, xsi:schemaLocation attribute, or a
Relax NG xml-model processing instruction), the schema defined in this
Schema tab is not used for validation or content completion.- Schema Type

Select from the combo box the value XML Schema.

Enter the value of the schema location (for example,
${framework}/schema/sdf.xsd). Use the ${frameworks} editor variable in the schema URI path instead of a full path to be valid for multiple Oxygen XML Author Eclipse plugin installations.Important: The ${frameworks} variable is expanded at the time of validation into the absolute location of the directory containing the framework.
