Show me how you will display non XHTML (complex) mixed content XML in
the browser with JavaScript...

If you can, then why do you want to use XSL? Surely the future of JS in
the browser is much more bright than XSL's.

You seem to be mostly trolling, but no, I use both quite nicely and
easily. When used in the browser you only do yourself a favor by
controlling it with JavaScript: 

- target specific page regions
- caching
- parameters
