Hi All,

"You'd be hard pressed to find many people, even in the web development community, that either is aware of, or uses, document()."

Of course I completely disagree with this statement. I think it would be quite easy for me to locate such individuals. And it's statements such as this that lead me to believe that there is an honest misunderstanding of just how prevalent the usage of XSLT is within the larger development communities of the world.

If any of you have a moment and wouldn't mind sharing with the Opera developers your own feelings on the above my hope is that this will aid in providing a better understanding as to just how misguided such a belief truly is, while at the same time encouraging them to take this matter much more seriously than they seem to believe they need to.

I also wholeheartedly that the document() function isn't being used. I use the document() function alot. It is very useful
in chunking into individual HTML files, creating external glossaries, indices, etc. A recent use is create SCORM packages.

Almost every XSLT that I write includes the document() function for
multiple purposes.
