hmmm, DTDs and XML with namespaces don't play well together.  I don't
like XML with doctype's and I don't like DTDs at all really (and I
_hate_ the idea of defaulted values).

I think I'll leave off the of doctype declaration after the identity
transform... no point validating twice :)
