you only want to do this:


	<ul>
		<xsl:apply-templates />
	</ul>

if there are any nested link elements, otherwise you get an empty ul.

so just make it

<xsl:if test="list">
	<ul>
		<xsl:apply-templates />
	</ul>
</xsl:if>
