I don't know what happened with me and the list, but I missed the last few messages in this thread re: Ant.

Just to clarify my own intentions, I really don't want to rely on other tools (Any, Bash, etc.) for something that I believe should be handled in the XSLT code.

My current approach works perfectly fine, even if it theoretically means a performance hit (hopefully Mike will address that before too long). So, user specifies the config parameter, which loads the appropriate config file, which has the attribute on which the main templates are conditioned.
