Hi.

Installing doesn't msxml3 does't make ie5 to use it as the default
processor, it still be using the old one until you change it's  mode to
'Replace Mode'.

Unless you have installed MSXML3, IE5 does not implement XSL just a
microsoft specific transformation language (which, confusingly, they
call XSL)  http://www.netcruicible.com has more information on this.
