  Upgrade to IE6 is not an option :-(
  This is urgent, and I am stuck at this.
  Please help out a new XSL enthusiast! :)

Unless you have installed MSXML3, IE5 does not implement XSL just a
microsoft specific transformation language (which, confusingly, they
call XSL)  http://www.netcruicible.com has more information on this.
